I have several problems with this piece of furniture. First, when I see "engineered wood shelves" I still expect solid shelves. The shelves are obviously hollow and extremely light weight. The finish is super thin. Removing the sticker from the shelves takes off the finish. The metal is aluminum, not iron, and is also extremely light weight and a bit flimsy feeling. There are no guide holes for putting it together. I guess you just drill the holes where your heart tells you to. Also, I'm pretty sure the screws provided would not have worked with the hollow shelves. I did not even bother trying to assemble this before starting a return. I do not believe that something so cheaply made was being sold at this price. Even for half this amount, I'm not sure it would have been worth getting.

The shelves are hollow as best as I can tell and very light. Overall the shelves just don't look that very good. At this price I was expecting something denser and with a better veneer.
