Book Synopsis

Scale Your SaaS Company from $10M to $100M with a Proven Framework

The $100M Push reveals the SaaS Order of Operations--a sequence designed specifically for private equity-backed CEOs who need to accelerate top-line growth and deliver results fast.

Drawing on insights from work with over 100 PE-backed software companies, this playbook breaks down the four strategic decisions that consistently drive post-investment performance:

  • Ideal Customer Profile (ICP): Direct your team's focus toward the accounts most likely to convert and stay.
  • Service Level Agreements (SLA): Create alignment and accountability across marketing, sales, and success to improve lead-to-pipeline conversion.
  • Contribution Model: Build a credible, data-driven bookings plan by defining targets across inbound, outbound, partner, and channel sources.
  • Objectives and Key Results (OKRs): Translate growth strategy into focused execution that moves your company toward exit goals.

This is the book your investors want you to read. You'll discover when to make each decision, how to lead your team through execution, what "good" looks like, and how to identify early warning signs before they derail momentum.

Whether you're in the first 100 days post-investment or steering a mid-hold reset, The $100M Push is your roadmap to predictable, accelerated, and sustained revenue growth--so you can "show well" to investors, hit your exit targets, and own your growth narrative from day one.

Review Quotes

"The $100M Push is a goldmine for CEOs and founders. If every CEO read this before they took on their first major capital investment, they'd be immediately in their investor's favor post-close. Private equity and investor expectations can sometimes feel like a black box--Vanessa has demystified the core components of what drives success in B2B software companies, particularly at these critical inflection points of growth. Vanessa doesn't just share what but how; the frameworks, agendas, and exercises outlined in The $100M Push. Take the guesswork out of how to get there. I can't wait to share this with our portfolio company leaders!"
--Lauren Janek, Principal, Value Creation, Five Elms Capital

"The $100M Push is a concise, battle-tested roadmap for CEOs scaling their GTM motion. Vanessa's decade of experience across companies and investors gives her a uniquely sharp, practical perspective. As a veteran CEO who has worked with her for 10 years, I found this framework invaluable."
--Michelle Fischer, CEO of TripleSeat

"This book demystifies what actually drives growth in a PE-backed SaaS business. The four decisions are spot on, and the 100-day sequence reflects exactly how high-performing teams operate when the stakes are highest. Vanessa translates complexity into a system any CEO can follow."
--Neil Carew, CEO, Founder and Former PE Operating Partner

About the Author

VANESSA GOOLSBY is a growth advisor and private-equity operating partner who has helped more than 100 software companies scale after investment. She has led post-investment turnarounds, GTM transformations, and pipeline rebuilds for SaaS businesses backed by firms such as Vista Equity Partners and PSG Equity.

A former executive at organizations including the Financial Times and Travelocity, she brings nearly two decades of experience leading product, marketing, and commercial teams for high-growth companies. She developed the Push Framework-- a repeatable system CEOs use to gain focus, build execution discipline, and accelerate bookings in the first 100 days.

She wrote this book because she saw the same patterns consistently derail CEOs. After years of observing what actually works inside PE environments, she wanted to give CEOs a clear, practical guide to navigate the pressure, pace, and expectations that come with a fresh round of capital.

Vanessa lives in Dallas with her family, splits her time between the U.S. and Europe, and runs an independent advisory firm. You can find tools, workshops, and videos at www.vanessagoolsby.com.
