I had to buy this for a Leadership course in Graduate school. It's a bit more in-depth for a personality test. Interesting, but I don't put a lot of faith in these as I can see myself in all aspects. When you take the test, you will be on their email listing.

Assessment Code for Online Test missing from book...
Bought two new copies of StrengthsFinder 2.0, one copy had code in back for online assessment ripped out already (which is the value of this book) :/
This has been a problem with this book in more places than Target, and they wouldn't be aware of an issue with this book, but it's sad the publisher can't come up with a solution to control this.

Love this book!
We love these books- we use them in our organization to assist the parents that we serve. It is really eye-opening to some, confirming to others. We also use it in our Non-profit organization for all of our staff members. It really helps management be able to put the right people together for projects and teams. The assessment is pretty accurate giving the first 5 strengths. You have to pay to find out more. I like how it gives a clear description, examples and an action plan to build on each strength. You can use this information to capitalize on interviews and presentations.

Strengths Finder is a pretty well known system. Most college students take it, have seen it tied to faiths, etc. Because I knew what to expect, it was an easy pick for me. You read Part I of the book (45 minutes), take the online test (30 minutes), and the rest of the book is a reference material, not a prose book you'd read from start to finish. A tool.

Wasn't what I was expecting
I'm looking to change careers, but not sure what I'd be good at and fulfilled in. I figured "Strengths Finder" was going to show me my strengths along with what careers my strengths would apply to. It didn't. All it tells you is your positive attributes, how you can apply them to life and people around you. If I knew that, I wouldn't have bought it.
