Book Synopsis
The Hating Game meets The Good Place in this romantic comedy where an ambitious spirit stuck working as a Cupid in a corporatized purgatory must find the perfect match for her former nemesis co-worker turned revived final client if she ever hopes to get her second chance at love back on Earth.
Serena Weston once owned her happy ending, at least until a philandering fiancé and a faulty revenge spell led to her unfortunate death. Now in limbo, she works for By-and-By as a Cupid. Every practical, painstakingly arranged match brings her closer to a second life. Too many Cupids breach their contracts by falling in love with a client, but that's no risk for Serena. Once she satisfies her debt, she'll never deal in love again. In the meantime, she'll tolerate office politics, team check-ins, and her work nemesis Daniel Hayes. He has no respect for the mission, fulfilling his obligations through shortcuts and drunken hook-ups. And he's doing it in half the time Serena is.
When Daniel completes his contract first, Serena is thrilled to be rid of him. Then Daniel becomes her final client. Now Serena's happy ending requires her to match Daniel, and Daniel's having none of that. To succeed, Serena must learn what Daniel truly needs. But as they evolve from rivals to friends to something confusing, and Serena realizes what they truly need might be each other, she'll have to choose: a second chance at life, or a first chance at love.
About the Author

She spends her workdays pondering mortality and writing technical guidance for actuaries specializing in pensions, which you might find quite funny after you read this story. When she's not using the math-oriented side of her brain, she obsesses over Broadway musicals and likes to write funny and romantic books about everyday women with slightly supernatural problems.
