The Machine Knitter's Guide to Partial Knitting - by Vikki Haffenden (Hardcover)

Book Synopsis

Master the art of short rows to enhance fit and create seamless knits on your machine

This book is a comprehensive guide to using short rows on a knitting machine, including step-by-step instructions and thoughtfully designed exercises that provide a robust grounding in the principles of partial knitting. Once familiar with the basic technique, the reader is encouraged to progress via 2D patterns to more complex 3D shapes and garments. At each stage there is a focus on how, and where, short rows could be introduced to enhance fit and comfort for individual body shape. Half-scale example patterns are provided to enable sampling and encourage the reader to push the boundaries of their own independent knit design practice.
