The Moon Seeker - by Dee Barragry (Hardcover)

Book Synopsis

The moon has disappeared and it's up to a boy, his talking sheepdog, a young witch, and an array of peculiar companions to set things right again. A lively adventure full of wit, whimsy, and magic.

In a ramshackle lighthouse at the top of the world, a boy named Lampwick guides ships to safe harbor and records the wonders of the night sky in his logbook. But when the moon suddenly disappears, Lampwick and his faithful sheepdog Humphrey must embark on a wild quest to find it. A fearsome storm is brewing and lives are at stake--and it seems a banished sea hag might even be behind this fishy disappearance! Journeying under the sea and across the skies, boy and dog encounter all manner of fantastic sights, from underwater sea horses to sticky blue slime to death-defying ducks. Lampwick and Humphrey will need wits, magic, and the help of unexpected friends to return the moon to its rightful place. Perhaps they can even make it home in time for breakfast? Charming characters and delightful language shine in this imaginative story.
