?

[Tiny T. Rex and the Very Dark Dark] captures how many children feel about the dark. It's a great way to open up conversation about this issue and help them deal with it. The text is clear and appealing. Young listeners will enjoy the elaborate plans the friends go through to conquer their problem. A great read-aloud for little ones-and not just those who are afraid of the dark.-School Library Journal

Makes fear of the dark worse.

Made my sons fear of the dark 10x worse. The eyes peaking out of the dark terrified my 4 year old and now he thinks Nombies are Grumbles will get him. It unlocked a new fear of the dark he didn’t have prior to me reading this to him.

Fear of Dark

Okay so we loved the other Tiny TRex book! My daughter was obsessed so I was so happy to find this, however, it’s just not good. I hate to say that truly but the whole message of the book is that they are terrified of the dark, that monsters come out of the dark, and the solution is to just look for light. My daughter is 3 and this book put fears in her head that she didn’t have before. Maybe if your kid is older or is actually afraid of the dark & needs guidance.. but even then I would read through it yourself first before sitting down with your child. We still read this book often by request, but it’s not my favorite.
