Q: Is this just a fancy record player for 45’s? I don’t want to pay $50 for something I can do on my normal turntable.
submitted by David - 29 days ago
Q: Does it have to be plugged in to work?
submitted by Sarah M - 21 days ago
Q: Does it play at 33 or 45 RPM speed? It does not look like it has a switch to play either. The description says 33 and specs says 45.

A: Says 33 on the site

A: Tiny Vinyls all play at 33rpm and the Player is a 33rpm turntable.
submitted byJOJO - 1 month ago

Bought this without any knowledge. I had a few issues in the beginning with getting the sound right, but TinyVinyl helped me troubleshoot. This is my one and only turntable and it’s small but sounds much bigger with a Bluetooth speaker. Big fan of the 4” records as well.

Maybe reconsider before buying
Keep in mind, it’s a small vinyl record. The sound is not loud and not the best quality. It’s a cute idea but I ended up returning it.

Junk!
Awful sounding plastic garbage. Do not purchase. I returned it right away. It is unfortunate because I was really hoping this would be awesome. Instead, it is unlistenable.

Cute and Fun!
I'm pleasantly surprised by this player. Got it when the tiny vinyls didn't work with my full-sized record player. It's like 45s meet Hit Clips. More "serious" vinyl people may not like it, but it's fun and the sound quality really isn't terrible. You can also connect it via Bluetooth to a speaker or headphones if you don't like the built-in speaker.

Horrible sound quality – Returning it immediately!
Do not buy this. It is an overpriced, poor-performing gimmick. Very poor sound quality. Save your money and return it if you already bought it.

quality is so so
cute, compact, fun however it runs slow and distorted. I feel like the quality of sound is very creepy. I bought it because I got several tiny vinyl records for Christmas and they claimed you could play them on a standard player. I have 2 and the record players. they are to small for the needle. that's why I bought the tiny player and I am disappointed. will probably be returning. maybe it is this specific player but I'm not sure.

Great tiny record player!
This tiny vinyl player is so high quality and looks so cute. The sound is very clear and sounds even better connected to bluetooth. The setup looks so good with the storage crate beneath it, and I am loving building my collection of tiny vinyls

Bought and returned twice. The quality of this item is just very poor. The first one I bought would not play the record or any sound. The sound and music was warped on the second one I bought. Tried various ways to fix it and nothing worked. I decided that for $50. it was not worth the money. I'll stick with my CD's!

Beautiful construction, terrible sound
The build quality overall is really nice. It has a very elevated feel to it. The player functions great overall! The only thing that keeps it from being truly amazing is the sound produced by the internal speaker - the sound quality of an AM radio but somehow worse. That alone caused me to return it. I would’ve honestly never played records on it with as poor as the sound quality is on it.

Tiny Vinyl is fun and Begin Collecting
I had been waiting for this and I am so happy with it. From the beginning I loved the Tiny Vinyl concept ; a real vinyl record and gatefold cover just like 12 inch but paired down to 4 inches. Two sides and 2 songs. Yes, it plays on certain regular size turntables; but not all and to me the cuteness and the thing that makes it more fun is the specially made record player that is made specifically and only for the Tiny Vinyl. And it is built so well with a solid feel and weight and a leather like cover. I love that they even made it with a lever for the tone arm so it gently comes down onto the record. And it is belt driven! I find the sound quality to be very good when played through external speakers....it pairs easily and I paired mine with Audioengine powered speakers. You can also plug into speakers with the jack on the back. It has it's own speaker, but I definately recommend connecting to external speakers. The records play great ..I now have about 25 records of all different musical styles. Of course, please don't expect audiofile sound...for $49 it is fun; cute and a great gift for people unfamiliar with vinyl or a veteran collector like me who has been into vinyl collecting for many years. And again I want to say the sound is very good thru external speakers that connect easily with bluetooth or with a wired jack. There is a pocket on the side of the turntable where you can keep 4 of your records and I recommend also picking up the specially made crate which fits beautifully under the turntable. I also got the frame which holds 4 records you can display and easily retreived as it is magnetic.

Worth every bit of $50
For $50 this is a great deal. Yes, it only plays Tiny Vinyl, but I LOVE mine (please release more Bruno Mars!!) and having a spot to show off how adorable they are to my friends is worth it. Does it sound like my UE wonderboom speaker? no. it sounds much much much better when you use the Bluetooth out function to my wonderboom speakers ... absolutely better for sure. all of my friends have portable speakers so that's easy for us like to see players in different colors someday. the build quality is great and feels way more heavy than the price point, its in my kitchen right now.

Could've been big but they only hit the tiny part right
Speakers sound like they were made of soda cans. The platter can't spin at a constant speed so you get little speed ups and slow downs randomly. For kids its ok. for adults, you can do better.

DO NOT RECOMMEND!!
this is super cute and once i saw it i knew i had to have it. so i bought it and was INCREDIBLY disappointed in it 😔. it literally sounds like a drunk guy talking. it speeds up and slows down. ive tried this mini vinyl on my regular vinyl player and it does NOT sound like that. i would NOT recommend this item. it’s not worth the 40-50$

This is epically disappointing. I bought it and thought it was defective so I exchanged it but the second one was just as bad. The records sound like they are warped, at the wrong speed and distorted. Unlistenable. I contacted the manufacturer and they assured me these were just the nuances of vinyl. Absurd because the tiny vinyl play perfectly fine on a full sized record player. This is something that should be sold in the toy section for $20 maybe $25 not in the electronics department for $50.

Very dissatisfied, sounded terrible, it had a bad initial sound with each tiny record. Also, Target would not refund the item, we only got store credit.

I agree with the other 1 star reviews
I’ve been a big fan of the tiny vinyl and when I saw this I knew I had to have it. It’s super cute but the sounds is horrible it sounds like it speeds up and slows down I feel like they could have done a little better. The tiny vinyl definitely sounds better on a real record player. Will be keeping it as a display piece. But it’s a great product if you don’t care about sound quality
