[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don’t know what the reason is but to me it seems like the “restaurant styles” of any brand of tortilla chips are nothing at all like what you would expect from a Mexican restaurant, cantina or otherwise. I have truly never understood why or how everyone is so far off the mark. These chips are good, don’t get me wrong, but they are, as always, a completely different type of chip than that of any Mexican restaurant that isn’t a massive corporate chain or one of those “TexMex” chain restaurants that are /authentically/ serving several Italian pasta dishes in the main entree section of the menu, an “egg roll” appetizer (or something similar mimicking an Asian cuisine), and other confusing staples like Cobb salads or chicken tenders. Still, for what the are (and not what they purport to be), they are alright in a pinch or for a gathering.
