• Handmade rugs should be treated more carefully than machine-made rugs due to the artisanal nature in which they are created. Remove any stains immediately by blotting with a clean cloth or sponge. Avoid using water as that might damage and discolor the natural fibers, instead, for tougher stains use a dry rug shampoo or baking soda. For dry debris take the rug outdoors and give it a good shake. Rotate for even wear.
