Q: Can it be painted? I love the size of this coffee table but need it in white.

submitted by Marcie - 8 months ago

  • A: Thank you for your question! Once purchased, any modifications would be at your discretion. However, we do not recommend painting the table, as it may change the intended appearance and could affect return or warranty eligibility. Q: The first picture in reviews (where she talks about pottery barn) - is that the color gray or brown? reviews are confusing on the color as some pictures look gray wash, brown, and dark glossy brown.

submitted by Dani - 3 years ago

  • A: It is a brown-dark brown, depending on the lighting being used. We do see where the review pictures looks like a different color, however if you look at the lighting per picture, they are all different.

    Bad Table

DO NOT purchase this table. It weighs so much it is impossible to even handle it. It was delivered on a semi and the man could not even carry it to my house. He literallly pushed the box to my garage door! After unpacking the item there was a HUGE scratch on the top of the table! It was packed so I feel the scratch probably came from the factory. So, I called Target and they want to give me $50! No, it is a damaged item! How in the world am I going to get this outside to return. This is a nightmare. DO NOT ORDER!

    Horrible shipping company

The ahipping company that target uses is horrible. The item sat in the destination city for 5 days. Contacted company and Isabella the customer service agent was nasty amd very unhelpful. Do better Target. Use a real shipping company that doesnt take 3 weeks to ship

Beautiful design and great quality. Would recommend.

Solid table with a modern and clean design. It took less than an hour to assemble. Price on target is less than what it costs at Ashley's!

    Impressive coffee table!

Very nice, sturdy table. Looks and feels expensive. I purchased the dark brown - it's a rich, slightly reddish dark brown. Pretty easy to put together (pay attention to which direction screw holes are facing when attaching legs), but heavy. Also, make sure to measure for your space because it is a large table. Would recommend if color and size suit your space!

Love this cocktail table. Heavy and very sturdy. I was able to put thr base together by myself but it takes 2 people to lift it to attach to the table top. Shipping was fast. It arrived a week early.

    Chic Coffee Table

I absolutely love my new coffee table. It is made of real wood which is very heavy and sturdy. I love the rich dark color of the table. I purchased the table online because the same table at my local Ashley store was more expensive. Delivery was a breeze. This table is a must buy and will look beautiful in any room.

    Love the item

I absolutely love this table, it's big and beautiful and perfect for my space! The only trouble I had was assembling the item because all the materials were stapled to the bottom of the table with industrial staples. It was really difficult to get the staples and materials out. But once they were out the assembly was really straightforward.

    Excellent packaging and product

Beautiful table, farily sturdy, great size. Packaging was outstanding and protected the product very well. Assembly was fairly easy. We love it, and we will shop at Ashley again in the future. One minor defect: Cross member E (the longest member that lies on the floor) had an anchor that spun while I screwed in a fastener. So that joint is a bit compromised. Will have to lift the table (two people) when moving it around the floor as opposed to being able to drag it (one person). I hope that this review makes it back to the manufacturer so that they can investigate and improve their process. Thank you

    Overall a decent oversized table

Table feels solid and looks fine. There is no storage space and it's mostly MDF with vineer, the only place you will see wood is the small components connecting different parts, and MDF is heavy. Weight causes more stress on joints so let's see how long it lasts, as our table is going to see some movements.

Beautiful coffee table at a great price!

After searching high and low for coffee tables at a variety of price points, I pulled the trigger on the Carlton coffee table & I am so happy that I did!! This coffee table is substantial in size, and a nice, heavy weight. It looks significantly more expensive than it was, and goes well with our decorâ€" some pieces which are from high-end stores (like Pottery Barn and Arhaus). This table fits right in and looks great!! Make sure you double check the size. It is quite big, but for us it is exactly what we were looking for..

    Stunnjng table and stunning price

Beautiful, sturdy, and large coffee table! I saw this on Ashley Furniture, but Target had it for cheaper and with free shipping. It’s a very dark brown color which I was unsure about until I saw in person. Mine had a couple of tiny dings upon arrival, but Target was amazing and gave me a discount. Took me (a 25 year old female) about an hour to put together by myself.
