Yamaha A-S501SL Integrated Amplifier (Silver)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I am very satisfied. Only have had it for about a month. I was hesitant it wouldn't have enough wattage but it has plenty to for my speakers rated at 100 watts. I enjoy the ability to use the treble and bass adjustments.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looks good ,sounds good although switches that turn rather than dials is just a look it's different,and they are flimsy.I purchased this as an upgrade to my vintage NAD amplifier and overall the NAD is more robustly built and also not much difference in sound.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Solid integrated amplifier. A temporary replacement for a 1980s Pioneer integrated amplifier that is in the shop. Sleek look. I like the remote control, the fact that there is a phono stage and it also is designed for modern digital inputs. The sound is solid enough, decent detail, crisp. Enough power for my Polk SDA 2 A speakers. It pales in comparison to the Pioneer which has much more depth of sound. But, they don't make 'em like that anymore… or I'd have to pay in the thousands to match it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second A-S501 amplifier and I'm sold on its clear and engaging sound, integrated DAC with optical & coaxial inputs & variable loudness control. The A+B speaker outputs were required for my main living area and they pair perfectly with my KEF Q350 speakers. You have a customer for life, keep it up Yamaha!!

I paired it with my Kef Q150 speakers, connected a pro Bluetooth receiver, and my music sounds sweet and clear again; Jazz, pop and classical, it all sounds wonderful. I would highly recommend any of the Yamaha integrated amplifiers depending on your power requirements and budget, they're great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an amazing sounding amplifier with a beautiful vintage look that would look amazing in any media centre or HiFi rack/Stand. Thank goodness Yamaha managed to make a high quality excellent sounding amplifier with great power that is actually affordable for the average consumer. These days great sounding HiFi seems to be only accessible by the very wealthy and affordable options seem non existent aside from the Yamaha AS 301/501/801 series amps. This explains why used old hi fi gear is actually going up in price. There is a demand for affordable great sounding well built gear. I really hope Yamaha continues to deliver value at affordable price points.

This is a beautifully made, quality piece of equipment. At 80 watts per channel it is more than adequate to drive large speakers powerfully with crystal clear precision. I am very pleased with the unit and it performs flawlessly. The remote functions perfectly and can operate at a fairly large distance. There is one area for improvement and that is with the volume knob. It needs an LED light in it so you can tell what volume level you are at. There is no illumination and you have to be careful not to get blasted at high volume when starting a music source. Other than that to me it is perfect.

I've always love the Yamaha Products. The brand name , Product quality and sounds. Been happy with the product. The only thing that I have about it is there a way to connect an external power amp to S701 ? I wish I could get some answer to this question and how.

Paired with my Klipsch Speaker line-up it is a fantastic amp that punches way above it's rated RMS.

Main amp for my living room system, provides plenty of clean power. Convenient optical and coaxial connection for my digital audio sources, and the phono section sounds great also.

Power for turntable tuner and speakers

I picked this because of my experience with Yamaha stereo amps many years ago. I run a Fluence turntable, and a pair of floorstanding Klipsch speakers with this amp. I'm a fan of Yamaha's variable loudness feature.
