The Avatar-themed playing-card deck contains 54 cards total: 52 standard playing cards plus 2 jokers.

The Avatar playing cards use standard poker dimensions: 2.5 in × 3.5 in (6.35 cm × 8.89 cm).

Each Jumpstart booster contains 20 themed cards. Two Jumpstart boosters can be combined (shuffled together) to form a Jumpstart deck that includes the Lands needed to play.

The Beginner Box offers a guided learn-to-play experience featuring a tutorial battle (Aang vs Zuko). It includes two 20-card tutorial decks, eight 20-card themed decks for mixing, two playmats, two spindown life counters, learn-to-play guides, tokens, and a rules reference booklet.
