Toned papers provide a mid-tone background that increases contrast, making highlights pop and helping artists add both lights and deep shadows more easily.
Watercolor pads in the results are offered in cold-pressed and hot-pressed surfaces, typically at 140 lb (300 gsm), and they come with either spiral or glued bindings.
Package quantities vary: most pads are sold as single units, while some are offered as multi-packs (for example a 3‑pack), so options range from single-count pads to multi-set packages.
