Sizes range from very small pendant/shaker molds measured in centimeters to jar-style molds described by fluid capacity. Examples in the results include a jar requiring about 6 oz for the body and 1.2 oz for the lid, a finished jar roughly 3.4 in by 5.1 in, and small quicksand/shaker molds approximately 8 × 7 × 1.1 cm.

Shaker/quicksand molds are made so an internal cavity can hold loose elements and a liquid medium. You fill the cavity with glitter, sequins, beads or a water/oil mixture (often called quicksand oil) before sealing, so the loose pieces move inside the cured piece and create a waterfall, drifting, or quicksand visual.

Good pumpkin silicone molds are flexible and durable with a smooth or glossy interior and detailed textures. Their elasticity lets you twist or flex the mold to pop out cured pieces, and high-quality silicone resists tearing so the mold can be reused many times.
