A: Hello,
You are free to use any recipe you love in the pan! Bundt Cake or Pound Cake recipes work especially well! The Nordic Ware Cozy Village pan is a 1/2 sized pan (5-6 cup) Most recipes and box mixes will bake the pan twice. You can also search online for 6 Cup recipes.
✨ Most recipes are approximately 10-12 cup finished baked capacity unless otherwise stated.
✨ Follow the recommended baking time for the Cozy Village Pan for all recipes (approx 25-30 minutes)
Rule of thumb:
✨Fill each cavity about 2/3 to 3/4 full, this leaves room for batter to rise without overflowing

I was grossly disappointed; all 6 cakes stuck to the pan; even following directions. Then; it’s extremely hard to hand wash the stuck on gingerbread(Nordicware recipe)

I received this pan as a Christmas gift and had to wait 11 months to use it. It was worth the wait! I baked with it SO many times this past holiday season! I used the recipe that came with the pan as well as many others. The details were so prominent and just a sprinkling of powdered sugar was all that was needed to show all the details on the cakes. It was surprising how easy it was to clean. I always use baking spray and use a pastry brush to clean out any excess spray before adding the batter and voila, perfect little cakes. I took the cakelets to parties, sent them to friends and our family gathering and they were a big hit! The Nordic Ware Bundt brush is a must with these pans!

I bought and made my first cozy village houses. I made sure I sprayed the pans well and used a pastry brush to get all of the details of the houses greased. They came out of the pan really easily and are so cute! We decorated them with icing in a pastry bag and small candies. I love how they turned out! This will be a family Christmas tradition from now on!

Our houses always stick and most come out a crumbled mess. I was just about to give the pan away and try something new this holiday. But these great reviews make me want to try again. Could someone share the recipe that came with the pan. My packaging is long gone. Thanks!

This mold worked perfectly with my spice almond cake recipe. The addition of almond flour in my recipe keeps the cake moist but not moist enough for the cake to stick to the mold.

I received this as Xmas present from my Husband. Just tried it out. Excellent! I followed your instructions and the houses released without any problems. They look so pretty dusted over with icing sugar. I have my eye on your Lamb mould now!

The recipe that comes with the cake pan is incredibly tasty and turns into great little cottages. They're so cute and make for easy decoration, so they make awesome holiday gifts. Cakes with a lot of moisture don't hold up so well - if the recipe you're using tends to crumble or is too soft, it'll probably get stuck in the pan. When it does work, though, it's my favorite holiday baking tool!

I bought this pan for a fun project when visiting my grandchildren. I did a trial run using the recipe that came printed on its wrapper. I used Baker's Joy spray and a pastry bush to grease the cavities thoroughly. It unmolded beautifully, I dusted ithem with powdered sugar and brought the cakes in for a treat at work. They were a hit and several asked for the recipe, Dense yet moist and a delicate orange flavor and conforming to every detail of the mold. I am an experienced cook but I would recommend this to a novice: if you can read and follow directions you can make this.
