The jute stretched canvases are triple-primed with acrylic and described as having an extra-coarse texture suited to expressive work. The small artist panels are universal acrylic-primed with an extra-fine, portrait-smooth texture for delicate detail.

Most of the stretched jute canvases are listed as compatible with both oil and acrylic paints and can handle thick or thin applications. The portrait-smooth acrylic-primed panels are also listed as suitable for oils, acrylics, and additional mediums.

The stretched canvases use 1-1/2" (1.5") deep solid pine stretchers. A framed gallery-wrapped canvas in the results lists an outer depth of about 1.62 inches.

They use 1-1/2" solid pine stretchers with slanted bars to avoid ghost marks, a back-stapled design, removable staples, and wood keys that can be tightened to maintain canvas tension and flatness.

The stretched jute canvases are back-stapled onto solid pine stretchers. The small portrait-smooth panels are mounted to a 3.5 mm MDF board using acid-free glue for stability and protection.

The extra-coarse, triple-primed jute stretched canvases are best for expressive, textured brushwork. The portrait-smooth, universal acrylic-primed panels with extra-fine texture are better suited to delicate brushwork and fine detail.

The stretched canvases include removable staples and wood keys for tightening. The framed gallery-wrapped canvas is printed with UV fade-resistant inks, has a beaded frame, and is ready to hang.
