Directions

apply one mL with dropper 2 times a day directly onto the scalp in the hair loss area using more or more often will not improve results continued use is necessary to increase and keep your hair regrowth, or hair loss will begin again

It contains important information. hair regrowth has not been shown to last longer than 48 weeks in large clinical trials with continuous treatment with minoxidil topical solution 5% for men in clinical studies with mostly white men aged 18-49 years with moderate degrees of hair loss, minoxidil topical solution 5% for men provided more hair regrowth than minoxidil topical solution 2% store at 20° to 25°C (68° to 77°F). Keep tightly closed.

Q: Why is this not for women? The 5% is what I am looking for and advised by doctor.

  • A: It’s actually all about the dosing on the box. The FDA recommendation for men is twice a day while only once a day for women, so the packaging can specifically note it is for men if the directions on the back include the dosing recommendation for men. Women could also buy it but just use it once a day if they want to align with the recommended dosage

  • A: It’s because 5% wasn’t approved by the FDA for women, only for men. It isn’t the company’s fault. They legally can’t market this to women. Just use it if you identify as a woman. Plenty of other women do.

    I have been using minoxidil for years and I also have had pets for the same amount of years. I am writing this because of the person yelling at you that it will kill your animals. We have many products in our household that are poisionous to your animals, just use with care like you do your other products. Yes, you will have to use for the rest of your life, I am ok with that since I like having hair. Due to medical issues, I started losing my hair a few years ago. My dr told me to get the men's because it is better and just as safe as the womens. I have been getting this brand for the last couple of years and it has been great.

    I used it consistently for a year and a half. Didn’t work. For a year of this trial, I also compounded it with finasteride tablets. That also didn’t work. Maybe it really does work for some, and maybe it’ll work for you, but it definitely didn’t work for me. On a separate note: I think it’s funny when people downvote honest ratings. I notice y’all doing this to others, and I think y’all are silly. Isn’t that the whole point of writing reviews to help others make fully-informed decisions for themselves before purchasing a product? Or are y’all just shills? xoxo

    THIS WILL KILL YOUR PETS

    Minoxidil is fatally poisonous to animals. If you lay on a pillow or blanket with this in your hair and your cat lays in the same spot, it could kill them in a matter of days. The packaging does not state this anywhere. If you have pets, DO NOT USE TOPICAL MINOXIDIL! Go to a dermatologist and get the oral version!

    It def works, anyone saying it doesnt probably just doesn't have enough hair or they are balding and not taking finasteride with it

    Works 100% but you NEED to have hair on your head or at least hair follicles that haven't fully closed. My corners and hair in general have been thinning and my hair in general was not as thick as it was in my early 20's. I'm 29 now it slowly but surely my hair is getting thicker and denser. took 6 months to start seeing results especially on my sides: (I am also NOT on Finasteride yet so these results are fully from this Min alone but I do plan on starting Fin very soon which will just make this work even better)

    Maybe my body cant handle Minoxidil in general but this stuff gave me depression, dizziness, forgetfulness and anxiety. Literally ruined my day to day. My head would always feel "full" like a sinus infection, id have to deep breathing exercises to calm my heartrate and I literally had no desire to do anything. I also think it messed up my vision briefly. Add on top of that, I noticed 0 improvement in my hair except grease. Used for nearly 4 months. Once I took myself off of it, all those weird side effects went away. Will either give up on the hair growth path or get a prescription.

    I don’t usually leave reviews, but I feel I should bring some awareness. These bottles are not sealed. I developed irritation, inflammation, and an infection on my scalp from this product. I was using the foam CVS brand Rogaine (with no issues), but decided to purchase this Target brand when I had other items to get at Target. The box was sealed, but the bottles themselves are not sealed. I hope Target doesn’t put used items like this back on the shelf.
