A: To me it's more like a provolone or havarti type. Not as mild as Swiss. It melts well and makes the best grilled cheese known to life.

A: This cheese still has a mild swiss, muenster flavor. I like the way it melts in hot noodles, add a dash of plant milk, some turmeric, smoked paprika, garlic powder and you got a nice side dish!

Q: Why does this product have zero protein if it is made with tofu?

A: If an item has 0.5g of protein per serving or less, it can be listed as 0g on the Nutritional Facts Panel according to FDA guidelines. The tofu we use has a unique and complex flavor that gives our Chao Creamery products their distinctive taste! Because the Tofu in Chao has such a strong flavor, only a small amount is needed to bring the right amount of flavor to our products.

Cannot find anything better than this, tried them all and this is by far the best around. I shop specifically at Target just to get my hands on this little gem. Melts beautifully and tastes great and doesn't have a pungent undesirable stench like others. It's a 15 out of 10 for me. Hard to find and get a hold off but if you do, you won't be disappointed.

We’re a dairy free house due to one of our kids having a severe dairy allergy. The Chao plant based cheese is the best we’ve tried, by far. I’ve put it on hamburgers, grilled cheese, and pasta and everyone has loved it. It’s nice to have an option everyone likes and not have to worry about cross contamination.

Great taste, melts nicely

My son has PKU and is limited in the amount of protein he can consume. We were buying specialty shredded “cheese” that was super expensive and didn’t melt. We started using vegan cheese and it melts beautifully. It tastes great and allows my son to eat a bit more “normal.”

Delicious!!

It tastes like buttered popcorn to me & I end up snacking on a whole package before I can add it to food. I love cheese on pasta, noodles especially ramen, soups, and stews so that’s where this typically goes. Slow to melt but it works. I wish the packaging was resealable though. I keep it in a ziplock bag in the fridge.
