Perfect blend
This is without a doubt my favorite coffee. Consistently delicious, roasted as a medium roast but not at all bitter.

Roasted 9/2025. Today is 2/2026.
These beans were roasted 5 months ago. Target should have thrown these out instead of trying to sell expired beans.

Surprisingly poor
I bought this coffee 2 days ago. When opened it had an odd aroma like old wet grass. The beans did not present an inviting appearance, oddly random colors from almost black to pale yellow. Tried 3 brewing methods and could not coax anything palatabl. A horrid aftertaste.

Awesome and inexpensive
Best coffee at my local grocery store, and also the least expensive of the "top tier" coffees. Excellent stuff.

Great coffee, but cheaper to buy at Target.
This is my absolute favorite coffee. I just don’t get why subscribing is more expensive than buying at Target. Why???

Great for espresso
I bought Hologram for espresso and it did not disappoint! I mainly drink cappuccino and this blend worked great with milk and I was able to dial in on my espresso machine very quickly. Great chocolate notes with slight blueberry profile. This will now be my go to for espresso and I will have to start buying 5lb bags.

This one was a little sharp and bitter for me. I am able to get really smooth flavors out of my setup. But not out of this blend. Not sure why.

My new favorite Coffee ( Hologram )
I recently went to a coffee cupping at a Counter Culture training center in Washington DC and got to try Hologram for the first time. I was very surprised and impressed with the balanced flavors of the Natural and Washed coffees. It has now become one of my favorites

Did Someone Say Blueberries?
This is ONE of my favorites from Counter Culture. My favorite flavor believe it or not, is the Slow Mo and only wish they made a caffeinated version. I know coffee is a subjective experience and with that said, I do not get the "milk chocolate" note as mentioned on their label but rather a very pleasant blueberry note. I have made this with different grind sizes and methods, Aeropress, French Press and drip. I find the blueberry note to be prominent, but your mileage may vary. Still a great cup of coffee.

Pleasantly Surprised
Overall I thought this bean was really good. It has a really nice, distinctive taste to it. Sweet but not too sweet. After a couple different brews, I found that in an 8 cup French Press, that 52-56 grams for 4 (to 4.25) minutes had the best taste. I was a barista for over ten years and have taste tested a lot (!!) of beans. I was pleasantly surprised just because it was priced reasonably at the grocery store, which isn't where you tend to find the absolute highest quality beans.

I had my first cup this morning and I can’t believe how good it was. I want to go to bed early so I can get up early to have another cup!

Lovely creamy espresso pulls
We found this at our local grocery store in a pinch and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. We looked for the freshest bag to ensure a quality pull from our espresso machine and are pleased to say we haven’t needed to go back to our prior vendors and subscriptions services. It’s nice to find quality beans in store!

It wasn’t my favorite
My girlfriend gave me this coffee as a gift and I loved it, loved it, loved it. She buys it at Whole Foods store. I ordered at the site and to my surprise it wasn’t quite the same … it’s just coffee… nothing to be excited about, neither smell was the same no the taste. I don’t understand …I gave 4 stars , but really I liked it less than that.

Hologram is a fave
Love this in the French press... delicious! Sometimes we brew it with Slow Motion to have a caff-decaf blend.

Instantly became my favourite!
One of the best coffee I’ve ever tasted! It’s fresh, the roast date was of 2 days before I received my packet. It’s not at all bitter and got chocolate nodes.

My new favorite coffee; has a sweet aftertaste.
A coffee for sipping, not gulping; when you're not in a hurry. If you don't have a coffee that (on the first sip) makes you stand motionless with your eyes closed while your endorphins flood your brain with bliss, contentment, and the feeling that life is good & everything's going to be okay, try this one.

It’s a great refreshing coffee but doesn’t have the full body taste like big trouble.
