  • A: It's hit or miss on freshness. I've received some packages that were already past their best by date, but Target customer service is top notch and will fix those issues right away. For the price and the awesome Target customer service, I wouldn't hesitate to order.

    Terrible sour taste

    This tastes sour. Even my mom who hates wasting food and drink, even if it doesn't taste good, eventually dumped it down the sink after four sips. she couldn't finish it either.

    Amazing pour over 205 degrees

    My current favorite pour over coffee!!! If you burn it, i.e. use a cheap coffee maker it doesn’t taste very good as it is a more nuanced blend of coffee. The heater on a traditional coffee maker will burn this coffee quickly.

    From a 30 year roaster

    amongst the best of beans out there. Pour beans on a tray and see even size without any quakers or broken parts evenly roasted on the date printed. quality! also printed is the country of origin and percentages in the blend. Owners said they swap different origins throughout the year based on best available but then they mix to match style of blend. I only wish they printed the roast level : light, cinnamon, city+, full city, vienna or french. you have to feel of the bag to get an idea. Darker roasts will fill the bag while lighter roasts fill somwtimes half-way. that's because the darker roasts go thru pops (crack) much like popcorn so the bean enlarges a bit each time - darker roasts filling the bag more than lighter ones. not expensive if you realize what you're getting.

    Smooth Taste

    I bought a bag of CounterCulture coffee at BJ'S. It's on the pricey side but it's worth it. I can now drink (this) coffee straight black with no sugar! That's how smooth the taste is. Please keep your means of production same do not get sloppy and greedy.

    First Timer

    Went into a Whole Foods to try a different coffee. Must have been 49 different coffees there. I’d never heard of this before and kind of confused by the name of the blend but I bought it. I’m not a coffee connoisseur but I know what I like. This is the best coffee I ever drank. I just use a $19 Krupps blade grinder but it works and easy to clean. Couldn’t be happier.

    Morning Go-To

    Greatest coffee in the US.

    I received a 24oz bag of Counter Culture Fast Forward coffee as a gift. I absolutely love a coffee that tastes rich, and let me tell you that this coffee tastes RICH! Luxurious! Wealthy! It is exactly what I need to get transported to paradise on a rainy day or an early morning. I haven't had coffee this wonderful since my vacation to the Greek Islands. I highly recommend grinding fine and brewing in an Italian moka pot on the stove. This coffee is THEE coffee!

    The absolute worst coffee (if you can call it that) that I've ever tasted! I bought the whole bean and ground it so it was fresh. Brewed a pot and, unfortunately, was very very disappointed. Sixteen bucks down the drain. What a strange taste. Nothing like real coffee should taste like. You should take s few lessons from Warpath Coffee!

    So Sour!!!!

    I LOVE counter culture’s SLOW MOTION decaf (got a bag of HOLOGRAM too, pretty good!) so maybe I shoulda been clued in by the name, this is the exact opposite! I have changed grind settings and steep times and doses but I keep getting orange juice level acidity from this coffee and I really hate it. It literally caused the oat milk I added to it to curdle, it was that acidic! My plan is to buy some cheap French roast and mix this stuff in a little at a time just so I can use it up cus the cups I’ve made with it alone were not drinkable. Maybe it is just a personal preference or I got a bad batch…

    Yuck

    I just used this for the first time to make espresso. I used my Breville barista express coffee machine with all the same settings I normally use. The espresso came out bitter with a strange pumpkin taste (not pumpkin spice, but raw pumpkin!) and an oily residue that coated my mouth. Going back to my old beans.

    Best Espresso

    I’ve been using this coffee every day for over a year to make espresso in my breville. It was hard to dial in at first and will taste sour if over extracted. But once you get the settings right it’s sooo good.

    A great find at the grocery

    This is the first coffee I’ve found at Whole Foods that has an actual roast date (rather than a “Best By” date) and it was on sale so I had to try it. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to dial in for my Bambino and how pleasant and how sweet a double shot it produced.

    VERY SOUR NO FLAVOR NOTES

    I had high hopes for this coffee, trying to find a medium nutty organic coffee and this only fits one of those, that is organic. It is supper light no matter how I grind and is VERY sour, not even bitter just sour with no flavor notes at all.
