A: Anna, you should also be able to buy a fairly inexpensive adapter to allow it to be used with any "regular" headphones. These used to be everywhere and super easy to find.
Most headphones have a mini-stereo plug (1/8"); this detector comes with a full-sized stereo plug (1/4"). The adapter simply plugs into the 1/4" plug on the detector and has a 1/8" (3.5mm) plug on the back of it. For an example, search online for "1/4 stereo adapter" and you should find some examples. The plugs look nearly identical, the only difference is the size.

Best Entry Level Detector Out There
Took some getting used to at first but works perfect every time. I have since upgraded to a $1k model but still keep this one as a back up. I keep it in the trunk of my car and use it quite a bit while I’m out and about and randomly find a good spot. I’ve had it for 3 years and it’s still going strong. Would purchase again in a heartbeat if anything ever happened to it.
