Easy to start out, and within minutes we were finding bits of old metal and old nails around the house. Haven't found anything valuable yet but is a fun activity to do with our 4 year old

For novice
We had high hopes but came away disappointed. Not well constructed, tubes did not fit easily into each other, detector weak at best. Great toy for kids, but would not spend more than $25.00 for a kid's toy. Returned it without a problem.

Let's find it.
It's very light weight, I love that about it. I'm brand new at metal decting, so trying to read it and understand what the numbers mean is a little hard for me. But I'm going back out tomorrow and give it another whirl. I will let you know later. FYI I bought this over a year ago and it brand new, I've been thinking about this for a long time, so pulled it out of my closet and I'm ready.

Just the features you need
Did a reasonable amount of research before pulling the trigger on the Goplus. The price range has many entries, but the Goplus offered the easiest and most understandable user interface without the clutter of unnecessary gimmicks. Add to that the ergonomics of carrying the unit about on challenging landscapes and my wife, who received this as a birthday present, now considers me a 'genius'. This Goplus is well built and does what it claims to do.

Good accuracy and features
This detector is not bad for the price. It has great accuracy. I like the discrimination mode it provides to eliminate the objects I don't want. A great toy for having fun outdoors.
