Q: are these batteries good for a smoke detector that requires 9V? Or do i need specific 9V batteries for my smoke detectors?

Q: I have a First Alert Smoke Alarm modell P12000. It requires a First Alert battery 9120B Battery 9VDC Battery Backup. There are no numbers on the pictures displayed. This battey is suppposed to last for 1 year. Will this work?

We purchase a big package of these twice a year and go around and change all of our smoke detector batteries. They last the full 6 months, usually longer, and I don’t have to worry about our safety.

I am happy with these batteries. They offer a five year shelf life, and have decent output power. These batteries are durable and long lasting. The four pact is convenient and budget friendly. This is the only brand we use for the smoke detectors in our home.

Worst batteries - 10 months ago
Be warned Energizer batteries absolutely do NOT honor their warranty!! I threw away 8 batteries and told them as such, they asked for pictures, then more pictures, then more pictures, i sent 7 and they still asked for more. I told them I'm happy to send the bad batteries not throw away to them, just send me a prepaid sticker, UPS, FedEx, USPS either one, all they did was asked for more pictures. This is a joke to them. Stay away. I'm trying Amazon batteries, so far so good and much, much cheaper. Any class action attorneys? Contact me.

Be careful that the metal ends of the battery don’t touch another battery or anything metal. They heat up and can explode! Careful storing and disposing of them.

I use Energizer Max Alkaline 9 Volt batteries in my Brittany's underground fence receivers. I need to be able to trust that the batteries I put in them are going to last because it is what keeps my dogs safely in my yard. I buy the 2 pack, for the 2 receivers. I've never had a problem with these batteries. They last for at least 10 months with every day use. I wouldn't trust another brand with my dogs lives.
