Q: I need to replace batteries on a Kidde smoke detector which requires a 9 volt battery. The smoke detector states if it’s a Duracell battery to have a code of MN1604 or MX1604. Do these batteries have that coding?

Used to replace dead batteries in two smoke detectors. They kept beeping anyway... Went to another retailer (something closer, only due to bad weather) and purchased another brand which worked.
