Entertaining
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When my child laid eyes on this toy she was initially thrilled. She eagerly anticipated getting her hands on it while I took.my time to carefully remove each item from the packaging. Once she had access to all the pieces, the first thing she did was remove the cap from one of the pens and attempted to write in one of the doll sized books that were included, but to her disappointment and mine, the realistic looking pen wouldn't right. She then tried to write with one of the included highlighters, but that also wouldn't write. She went through every pen and crayon in an effort to find one that woukd write, all to no avail. The idea behind this set is clever and she had a lot of fun organizing all the pieces, but without the option.of writing with the pens, highlighters and color crayons it was quite a let down and took away from the excitement of this toy. The backpack's zipper gave some resistance when trying to open and close it, but opening closing it slowly and carefully proved successful and satisfactory enough. This toy could use some improving, but some markers from my emergency boredom drawer saved the day.
