So Many False Alarms - Won't Shut Off
Replaced a wired system with these and 2 of 5 started going off (middle of the night of course) for no reason. Reset button did not work, so had to kill them. Waste of $$.

Faulty and waste of money
Alarm malfunction and would not turn off. Bought and installed this alarm 2/2/26 and it didn’t even last through the year! Failed 9/15/26 and was going off without reason and would not quiet when button was pressed. Will never buy this brand again

Junk
This was the most difficult alarm I’ve ever used. It has a button for test, but it didn’t work. Even the process to disarm it was a hassle. I wish they never discontinued the Nest and I wouldn’t even have to worry about this junk!

failed quickly
I purchased a four pack of these alarms from target. within a week of installation one started going off for no reason. it was replaced by First Alert under warranty. shortly after other alarms started doing the same thing. I didn't go back to First Alert, I'm just replacing them all with Xsense. First Alert also told me to clean them with compressed air every week! I'm not doing that.

Battery didn't last 10 years
F irst time using this brand. End of life warning started after 8 years and detector had to be replaced. Otherwise, during use, no false alarms.

I am using "Rate and review", but I really need "Fix an issue" which would not let me proceed with stating the issue. The paroblem: Item ordered was "Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector, FIRE ALARM", but the product does not inslude Fire Alarm (it includes only Smoke and CO)

Dont buy, waste of money. Failed after one month
This barely lasted one month before it failed and alarm would not stop on its own. We gave gone through 4 smoke detectors of this brand in one year and they all fail ridiculously early.
