To remove Command™ Picture Hanging Strips, gently hold the top of the strip and slowly pull the tab straight down, keeping it flat against the wall until the strip releases. Please avoid pulling the strip toward you or away from the wall, as this may cause damage. Q: Will these work on fiberglass doors?

submitted by Eric - 5 months ago

  • A: Thank you for reaching out with your question about our Command™ products. In general, for Command™ Products to stick properly, the surface should be smooth, clean, dry, and free of dust, oil, or residue. Textured surfaces can prevent the adhesive from making full contact, which may affect how well the product holds. If you would like, you can contact us at 1-800-934-7355, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM CT, and we would be happy to discuss your specific surface in more detail. -MC

    Dont stick to wall

They don’t stick to the wall. Used to love these for hanging pictures and avoid holes in the walls. But they don’t even stick anymore. Something changed in their adhesive. Everything I used these on fell off the walls. It’s not the walls, it’s the adhesive.

DONT BUY IT!!!! Like the other reviews say, this item does not work at all! I used 4 pairs of the strips to hold a 2 lb photo frame on the wall, and it hold for about 30 seconds before falling and breaking my frame. Thank God the glass did not break. Don’t waste your money on this

    no longer works

i used to swear by these to hang all my pictures but they changed the product and they no longer work. they used to have a paper backing with green text and now it is just a clear plastic backing. i still have some older versions which continue to work. even with 5 new pairs on a painting it came crashing down. incredibly disappointing that they are selling a worse product for a higher price.

    Poor performance

Absolutely abysmal performance from a pioneering player in polymer, materials and surface/interfacial chemistry. Put simply, the adhesive was woefully inadequate and < 15 minutes after hanging a small print, it fell to the ground, destroying the custom frame that held it. Very discouraging.

    Win-Win Command Strips! Absolute Fave!

FAVORITE Command Velcro Strips, because you can cut them and get more out of them and also have strips big enough to hold up to 20 pounds if need be. It’s a win-win! All the string lights and wall decor in the first picture were held up by these Velcro strips and canvases in the second picture was the the start to a complete top to bottom photo collage wall and ALL of them were held up by these strips as well.
