Please make sure that after you switch out the batteries, you ensure that the switches are in the ON/Play position and that the snake and remote are synchronized together as shown on the instruction sheet. Q: Where is the battery compartment on the snake? I opened the bottom of the head compartment and it's just the wheels.

A: It’s the screws to the left of the on and off and then slightly pull the head and body apart. There are batteries that go underneath and on top. 4 total.

My daughter loves it

Super cute
It takes 6 batteries between the remote and the snake, so be prepared to spend more on those than you did on the snake itself. Other than that, the controller is easy to use and uncomplicated. The wheels under the snakes head seem to pick up every little thing on the floor so make sure you've swept/vacuumed first. It's super cute though and was not overly expensive.

Worked for 5-10 minutes
It worked for 5-10 minutes and now won’t. All batteries are same brand and brand new. We even tried other batteries. The snake now occasionally flinches when the buttons are pushed and the eyes flash when the buttons are pushed so we know there is a connection between the remote and snake, but otherwise the snake won’t move. And there is no debris in the wheels.

Beware! Battery Fire Danger!
Please be alert to this product! Batteries in snake became dangerously hot within minutes of being installed. Batteries were installed properly but were burning hot to the touch. Likely poor wiring or quality in the motor or battery compartment.

Snake needs 4 batteries near the head. unscrew the two small ones near the "on/off button" and it slides out. The controller needs two batteries! (you will use triple A batteries) At first I thought it didn't work, but it does! 5 year old loves it!
