  • A: Make sure you have put 2x AAA batteries on BOTH sides of the battery compartment (4x AAA in total). The instructions are not clear about this at all.

Q: How far away from the snake does the remote work? If the remote and snake are separated by a glass barrier will it still work? Does the remote have to be in front of the snake all the time for it to work?

  • A: Hi Seabreeze. The Terra Snake is an indoor toy and the remote needs to be in the same room for it to connect. It will not work with a glass barrier. The remote will need to be in front of the toy in order for the frequency connection and it will work up to 4 feet. Thank you. The Battat Team

Please note that not all battery voltage is the same and the battery type makes a difference in the functionality of the toy. Once the batteries are changed, please turn the snake On and then point the remote at the snake to get it moving when the buttons are pressed.     Cool toy!

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son likes the toy but definitely got bored with it after a few days. Lol it also was difficult to put the batteries in but we eventually figured it out. Well put together I think I had more fun with it then my kids haha

    Hi Emilia - We are sorry to hear that you and your daughter are disappointed with the Terra Remote Control Giant Anaconda. We have a couple of suggestions. Please be sure to insert 4 batteries in the head of the snake, and 2 batteries in the controller. They should be brand new, name brand batteries. If this doesn't get the snake moving, there are several videos on Youtube that show a step by step set up of this toy. If neither of these suggestions help, we encourage you to take the toy back to Target and exchange it for a different unit. We are sure your daughter will have lots of fun with it!

    Make sure you add 4 batteries to the snake!

    I came on here to read the reviews when we couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t working. After reading the description again and realizing we only used 4 batteries, that was the problem! The snake needs 4 batteries, 2 on top and two in the bottom! So if you thought it didn’t work, that could be why!

    PUT 4 BATTERIES in the head of snake!!!!

    4 BATTERIES!!! Snake didn't work at all in the beginning. finally after reading some comments I realized it takes 4 batteries in the head NOT 2!!! I even went and exchanged for a new one thinking it's faulty. But once it works it's good.

    Doesn't work

    Like many other reviews have stated, this toy simply doesn't work. The only "trouble shooting" option they give you in the instructions is to turn the snake off and back on and press reset... This does absolutely nothing. We've tried multiple sets of brand new batteries as well as other problem solving strategies and nothing has worked. This is a piece of plastic garbage.

    Captured my kids eyes, but malfunctioned, unfortunately. Does not work. Repeatedly pressed the reset button, changed batteries on both the snake & remote. I would not recommend.

    Never worked

    We bought this and it never worked. We put multiple new batteries in it and pushed the reset button. It never worked even though it was brand new. If I could give 0 stars I would.

    Disappointed

    My kids were so excited for their new green anaconda, but after installing it and putting in batteries the toy doesn’t work. The snake doesn’t turn on and I have tried everything to fix it but it doesn’t work. I don’t know what else to do.
