Q: This toy does not work. Is there some sort of trick to pair the snake with remote? Brand new batteries and snake doesn't move!!

submitted by Amy - 10 months ago
  • A: We are having the same experience. Brand new batteries. Both parts light up. Followed the instructions to reset. Still not working.

    submitted byEmily B - 9 months ago
  • A: Same here. New batteries and no movement

submitted byLindsay - 9 months ago
  • A: Hi Amy. Please make sure that after you switch out the batteries, you ensure that the switches are in the ON/Play position and that the snake and remote are synchronized together as shown on the instruction sheet. If you need a copy of the instructions, they can be downloaded on the Terra Official website product page. Thank you. The Battat Team

  • A: Make sure you have put 2x AAA batteries on BOTH sides of the battery compartment (4x AAA in total). The instructions are not clear about this at all.

submitted byFriendly Neighborhood Dad - 8 months ago
  • A: I finally understood that the head gets 4 AAA batteries. After that we were playing and laughing. Tarantula and snake in the run!!! Great fun!!

submitted byBirdbrain - 8 months ago
  • A: The head gets a total of 4 batteries, 2 on the top and 2 on the exact opposite bottom. Hope this helps!

Q: I just open the toy and put new aaa batery and it do not work.. what i can do?

submitted by jane - 5 months ago
  • A: Hi jane. Please change all of the batteries with new Brand name alkaline batteries like Duracell/Energizer. Please note that not all battery voltage is the same and the battery type makes a difference in the functionality of the toy. Once the batteries are changed, please turn the snake On and then point the remote at the snake to get it moving when the buttons are pressed. If you have tried this and are still experiencing issues, we invite you to exchange your new toy directly with Target. The Battat Team

Q: How far away from the snake does the remote work? If the remote and snake are separated by a glass barrier will it still work? Does the remote have to be in front of the snake all the time for it to work?

submitted by Seabreeze - 2 months ago
  • A: Hi Seabreeze. The Terra Snake is an indoor toy and the remote needs to be in the same room for it to connect. It will not work with a glass barrier. The remote will need to be in front of the toy in order for the frequency connection and it will work up to 4 feet. Thank you. The Battat Team

Does not work even with new batteries.

Hi Erik - We are sorry to hear that your Terra Remote Control Anaconda isn't working. We have found that some of our customers didn't realize that the snake itself requires 4 batteries, while the remote only needs 2. There are videos on Youtube that show a step-by-step video on toy set up for this snake. You might find that helpful as well. Sincerely, Team Battat

Narrow operating envelope

Very cute RC toy. My daughter loves it. However it’s very sensitive to anything but a large smooth/hard surfaces area. It bottoms out just running over a fallen fish towel on the hard kitchen floor.

Hi there - We are sorry to hear that you are disappointed with your Terra Remote Control Anaconda. We are wondering if you tried replacing the batteries on the snake and the remote. It is defintely worth trying a second set just to be sure the issue isn't with the batteries. If that didn't help, we encourage you to take the toy back to Target for an exchange. We know your little one will have tons of slithering fun with this toy if you do! Sincerely, Team Battat

Toy does not work

I can not get the snake part to work. Changed batteries multiple times and still nothing. My grandson is so disappointed he can play with it.

Hi Jennifer - We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble with the Terra Remote Control Green Anaconda. Did you know that this toy takes 6 batteries in total? 4 go in the neck area of the snake (there is a battery compartment there) and 2 go in the controller. If you've followed these directions and the snake isn't moving, we encourage you to take it back to the store for an exchange. We are sure your grandson will have hours of slithery fun if you do!

Replaced batteries right out of box. Remote has power but never worked.

Hi William - We are sorry to hear that you are having some power issues with your Terra Remote Control Anaconda. Many people don't realize that the snake takes 4 batteries - 2 on the top of the snake's head and 2 at the bottom. If that isn't the solution, we encourage you to take the toy back to the store for an exchange!

Not worth $20.

It was great for a few days and then it only now goes at a very slow rate.

Hi Theresa - Thank you for our feedback. We are wondering if you have tried replacing the batteries with new brand-name batteries. From what you describe, new batteries should get your Terra Remote Control Giant Anaconda. If they don't, we encourage you to take the toy back to Target for an exchange. Sincerely, Team Battat
