This has the nastiest smell that's somewhere between garlic and sewage. Taste tested it straight out of the can and it's a hint of garlic and chemicals.

No only did this taste off, but it also left the most disgusting after smell that lingered in the bowl we had the popcorn in.

I like buttery popcorn, but I was trying to limit my use of butter in my popcorn. I saw this, and had to give it a try. I didn’t initially notice that it said it had a hint of onion, which is typically not something I like in my food. Once you get the sprayer working, it goes on well, but moderation is key. You can smell the garlic and the onion, and the taste is pretty much 50/50. I like it, which is saying something as someone who avoids onions in every way. Does it reek of onion? Yes, so it’s great for those who like onions but not a lot of garlic. It can be oily, so don’t handle the inside of the bowl and then touch the outside, because it might slip from your hands.

Disgusting. We popped a fresh batch of popcorn, sprayed a thin layer just to try it out, and had to throw out the popcorn because of how awful the taste was. Leaves a nasty aftertaste in your mouth. I wouldn’t even put this on toasted bread or anything. Tastes like melted plastic combined with sour garlic. Eeeeeyuck

Flavor mentions a hint of onion, but I really only taste the onion compared to the garlic. Not bad, not the greatest. Great if you like onions!

I don't really understand the other reviews. We got this for popcorn and were really pretty thrilled by it. Finally a garlic spray that actually tastes like garlic, not a hint of seabreeze with a wiff of garlic. This stuff is delicious. We use it for our popcorn occasionally, but normally it goes on pan seared green beans or shrimp. It's amazing, it's strong, it's definitely a favorite for us. The only downside is the spray nozzle could use an upgrade, it's not a smooth, fine spray like canola, it's much heavier, so go easy with it.

I would like to preface with the fact that I am a genuine certified garlic girl. That being said... I sprayed ONE layer on a freshly popped bowl of popcorn. I took one sniff and it was far too strong so I used regular movie theater spray on the rest of the bowl. There was one or two perfect bites with like a miniscule amount of garlic on them and it was like a perfect mix of garlic/butter flavor. The kernels that were all garlic butter were CATASTROPICALLY BAD. Like weird and oddly mouth coating and extremley too fragrant. Basically the garlic is too strong! Tone it down legit like--- 80% and this product might get my money again.

Buyer beware unless your goal is to deter Vampires with the most overpowering artificial garlic taste that I have ever encountered! Got my husband to try and I almost ended my 34 year marriage with two kernels of popcorn! Not to mention the obnoxious lingering smell in my home that is going to require an ozone machine to remove. I would leave negative stars if it were an option.

Super strong artificial garlic smell/taste. Had to change my clothes, open the windows, and break out the air purifier. Buyer beware!

Got it to put on my popcorn, it’s gross. It’s stinky and tastes like plastic. Needless to say I will not be purchasing again.

It makes your whole house smell like powerful garlic and onions!! Don’t buy!!! I originally thought it had an okay taste… but not worth the smell in your house/residence.
