Falls apart easily. A PAIN to get out of the plastic and the toy is easily scratched up trying to cut the invincible zip tie around his skinny waist.

I never write reviews, but I had such high hopes for this toy and it was such a let down. My son LOVES sonic and wanted this toy so much. It is nearly impossible to play with because it falls apart at the slightest touch. I understand that the point of this toy is to “blow up” and have all the pieces disconnect from the body but you aren’t even able to move it or pick it up without everything falling out. So frustrating.

Really cool looking toy. And can be lots of fun ! But a bit difficult for my son. Falls apart easily during play, so if the leg pops out it completely falls apart. For the price I was expecting better. The logistics need improvement.

My grandbaby absolutely loved this and bigger than I thought it was gonna be.

He was excited to see this Hammer Egg Robot Deluxe Set arrive in the mail and had to open it immediately. He played with it for a bit, but we found he needed a bit of help when it came to putting the legs back on, as it was hard for him to do himself. Considering so, I found that while he did enjoy it, he didn't keep going back to this set as often. It's cute. It's sturdy. The colors are bright and eye catching, but I feel this is better suited for a little bit older children. My son just turned five, and had slight difficulties with it.

My 4 year old son bought this. When we got it home he was so sad because the pieces didn’t stay together. The robot appendages fall with little to no touch. We had to be very careful when playing with it to not touch it much. And although it does what it says it’s going to do - no false advertising - the toy just isn’t made up to even a 4 year olds standards lol. It IS super durable… seems like it can take a real beating from a rowdy kid. Just not as expected

My son saw this and immediately wanted to buy it with his allowance. We wound up returning it within a half hour and buying the eggman Lego set instead. The legs on this toy fall off if you look at them. It was incredibly frustrating and not worth the effort or the money, even though it was on sale.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this Hammer Egg Robot Deluxe Playset for my nephew and he absolutely loved it! The Sonic figure and robot are really fun for play battles. The only thing I noticed is that the robot’s legs come off very easily and it doesn’t feel super stable – I’m not sure if it’s meant to be that way. Luckily, that didn’t bother my nephew at all, he thought it was part of the fun. What I really like is that it doesn’t require any batteries, which makes it easy and hassle-free. Overall, it kept him entertained and happy, and that’s what matters most!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packaging was great on this product! Eggman was securely strapped to the box with a thick zip tie. When my son opened the box, he geeked out over the toy. Our favorite part is how Eggman “explodes” after he has been hit 3 times.

The arms shoot out, and the entire thing comes apart when you push a button or when they have Sonic Smash the button. This was fun for them with the shooting arms and destruction of doctor robotic. The plastic and materials are thick and do not break easily, so it is perfect for boys who like mine who play rougher. This still looks brand new, and I would recommend it to others.

I’d recommend this toy for kids around that age and up. It does fall apart a bit easily, and even my son has limited patience for putting it back together. If you don’t have carpets, be prepared for some noise—there’s a lot of hard plastic hitting the floor. That said, it’s a safe toy with no small parts, and it has an old-school feel that encourages imagination. I really appreciate that it doesn’t make any sounds—your child has to create the sound effects themselves, which is great for creative play. Despite all the crashing, it’s surprisingly durable. My son’s favorite part is easily launching the cannon arms, he does it over and over! Overall, I’d recommend it, especially if your child is a Sonic fan.

With enough hits, the eggman robot “explodes”. My toddler thought this was amazing and had so much fun playing with this toy. I love that it’s not battery operated and therefore results in more independent and creative play as it’s open ended. The pieces are well made and sturdy. I like that there are more sonic figures that we can collect too. Would make a great birthday or Christmas gift !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received this Hammer Egg Robot Deluxe Playset from Jakks Pacific and Influenster in exchange for our honest opinion. Sonic is becoming a pretty big deal with our almost 4 yr old and this set has seen lots of playtime. It's pretty straightforward to put the Hammer Egg Robot together. Our little guy can pretty much do it on his own (needs a bit of help with the legs sometimes) and the pieces are well made (not thin and chinsey). The swiveling rocket cannon arms are a huge hit (luckily they don't hurt if you are in the line of fire). The "button" Sonic is to hit doesn't really defeat the robot without some adult assistance but he doesn't mind. The Sonic figure itself is far smaller but has moveable limbs and head. Overall, he has had so much fun with this. Both characters have great detailing and vibrant colors. This set has been thoroughly used and shows no signs of breakage.
