Great Ingredients, But A Total Taste Failure
I watch Bobby Parrish regularly on YouTube. He provides very useful tips for healthy eating. I was interested in trying the FlavCity protein powder he promotes on his channel, and I found it prominently displayed on an aisle end at my local Target. I liked the idea of single serve Chocolate packets ($2.99) so you can try them out with low risk. The ingredient list was promising. That is the only good things I can say. From the moment I opened the packet, the smell was overwhelming and not pleasant. I should have stopped there. But I persevered and added the powder to my milk. The taste was revolting, and the aftertaste was even worse. After pouring it down the drain, rinsing the glass with soap and water, I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and use some mouthwash. Ugh! Zero stars! Do not recommend!

The best way to describe the taste is a melted fudgesicle, with the stick blended into it. Very bitter and not at all smooth and delicious the way influencers claim it to be. Would not recommend.

I wanted to love this. I liked the ingredients but the flavor of banana and coconut just doesn’t taste good and it overpowers my smoothie. It’s not like a fresh banana flavor. It’s a bit off and hard to describe.

I blended the Chocolate FlavCity Protein Powder with water and ice, and it tasted really good. I’m usually not a fan of protein shakes because of the aftertaste, but this one didn’t have that issue for me. The ingredients also seem better than many other protein powders. I enjoyed it and would recommend it, though everyone’s taste is different.
