Q: How long will this be on shelfs for

submitted by 20J - 2 months ago
  • A: Was just at my local Target, attempted to purchase but a message at the cash register said “Not allowed for sale” told me I’d have to come back on the 19th.

submitted byMatteo - 1 month ago
  • A: Me and another girl got ours at 9 am had to ask associate to look in back luckily we both got one.

submitted byPat - 1 month ago
  • A: Usually until they stop producing them/they run out stock, which could take weeks or months. The MTMTE 86 Optimus Prime has been on shelves for about 3 or so months atp and it’s still going to be out for a while, so use that as a bench mark

submitted bySoundwave - 1 month ago
  • A: Initially they will be sparce. After a month or so they should be more plentiful. They may get two restocks, or posssibly three if we are lucky.

submitted byBackordered - 1 month ago
  • A: Like 8 seconds before some scalpers buys all of them to re-sell on ebay for 75 dollars each.

submitted byAldyn - 1 month ago
  • A: Probably for a week if we find it.

submitted byGalvatron - 1 month ago
  • A: Not long given that the employees will lie to you (at the sherwood Target) and put it out before they said it would so you don’t get it.

submitted byGarvy - 26 days ago
  • A: probably ask the workers to check their stock availability. i secured 2 for me and my girlfriend :) best of luck

submitted bymegatron - 1 month ago
  • A: That would be “Shelves”

submitted byGrammerly - 1 month ago
  • A: Probably a day at most

submitted byTarget Master - 1 month ago
  • A: This is bad comedy....

submitted byFreshDebesh - 1 month ago
  • A: We also found one on the store shelves prior to the release date and they wouldn’t let us purchase it. Told my child he couldn’t take it home. We were planning on buying it and canceling our preorder. Instead our preorder is on back order and our arrival date keeps getting pushed back.

submitted byTarget addict - 22 days ago
  • A: This will be on shelfs for NEVER EVER

submitted byTarget sucks dong - 2 months ago
  • A: Shelves are the right of all sentient beings (about 2 months to 2 weeks depending on supply, ect)

submitted byOptimus prime - 2 months ago
  • A: Picked mine up this morning from store.

submitted bySpoon - 1 month ago
  • A: Hasbro have different levels for they're toys. Some are A level (like that bumblebee that's always in stock), these are continuously manufactured even if they sell out or shelf warm. Most, however, are done when they sell out. These aren't meant to shelf warm but get costumers to go into a store and buy other stuff too.

submitted byJrodriguez - 29 days ago
  • A: Never, even you can’t order it online anywhere

Q: Why was a character as iconic to the Transformers brand as Starscream made a ludicrously scarce retail exclusive?

submitted by stackodemon28 - 1 month ago
  • A: Give it time, and Hasbro might release him in a three pack with Thundercracker and Skywarp, making you have to buy the other two again just to get him.

submitted byJason - 1 month ago
  • A: fomo to drive sales only to release a version with more offerings a year later.

submitted bystackemits - 1 month ago
  • A: because it creates artificial scarcity, when a wider release for him just makes sense. along with prowl, and hound, and all the others. but in reality its just hasbro giving us all the finger.

submitted byA guy who wants Screamer - 1 month ago
  • A: Because Hasbro wants MONEY, that's all they care about.

submitted bySomeoneNamedBlue - 1 month ago
  • A: because Target hates us

submitted byJock - 1 month ago
  • A: So that Hasbro can re-release it later under a different line and make money off of all of us suckers with FOMO

submitted byUnicron - 29 days ago

Q: What are my statistical chances of running into it on the shelves?

submitted by Zetta - 1 month ago
  • A: For regular voyagers about 80%. Deluxes around 30% For this and Prowl, probably 50% depending on where you live.

Q: Genuine question, what is the actual logic behind “store exclusives” ? Figure was supposed to be released in store on the 19th of July just for a majority of stores not to have any at all on release? And even if the store gets them it’s two at a time.

submitted by Lou - 30 days ago
  • A: It's to force you to walk into the store and potentially buy other products while you're there. If it's out of stock, then you'll have to go to another store and potentially buy more stuff even if you never find the figure.

submitted byJrodriguez - 28 days ago
  • A: I mean it is in stock on hasbro pulse, so theoretically it may be faster to cancel the target preorder and order it through there. But idk.

submitted bySkids - 22 days ago
  • A: It’s simple: there isn’t. Hasbro only cares about getting our money. I mean, we could boycott it like people did with some recent Star Wars LEGO sets, but idk

submitted bySkids - 23 days ago

Q: Has this been the worst rollout of a Transformers Exclusive Ever 🤔

Target, worst retailer ever.

Really this is a review of Target, who took steps to make this an exclusive figure and in the process completely screw over the fanbase. My preorder was cancelled, I can’t find one in a store, and every employee who I talk to about it is utterly unhelpful and incompetent. Not only will I never preorder from Target again, I’ll never shop there again either. Their inability to make this right has earned them a boycott at the very least.

Like everyone else here, my preorder was cancelled after approving multiple delays. Never again will I preorder anything from Target. I have a Starscream on the way from China via AliExpress. I didn't mind paying extra, at least it didn't go to scalpers. Target should lose their exclusives partnership with Hasbro, it's as simple as that.

Target cancelled my order and everyone else's. Totally incompetent. Yeah, here's my review of the nothing and the lack of respect I received from you. I return in kind. Stop giving these hacks exclusives, Hasbro.

Unacceptable business practice

Target cancelled all my preorders after postponing them twice. Unacceptable business practice by Target and Hasbro. Get your acts together!

Target is so bad

This is not a review of the product, but of Target's reliability. I preordered in the first hour and they canceled my order along with hundreds/thousands of others. Awful.

You guys need to fix your broken preorder system

How can you cancel a preorder just to put the product on the shelf somewhere else? It’s not like this was a new mistake, it’s happened before, will probably keep happening.

Target. Count your days. You are, without a doubt, the worst. I pre-ordered day one. I wait patiently. I approve I don’t even know how many delays. Then 2-4 hours after approving a delay, you cancel. Genuinely what is wrong with you?

Disappointed

I thought I was the only one, but my order was canceled too after I approved it and after it was delayed twice too. Then when I chatted with Customer Service, they made me sound like I was crazy for requesting them to resubmit my order. Then they tell me that I couldn’t submit it resubmit my order. I was severely disappointed with targets pre-order process for this product. Target needs to do better.
