Q: Does this require a wall for stability? (My wall has molding which juts out over 6", meaning the bench will not be flush with the wall. From an aesthetic perspective I'm fine with that.)

submitted by Abby H - 2 years ago

  • A: No, it does not require being flush against the wall for stability. The bench is designed to function correctly as a free-standing piece, so the molding on your wall won’t impact its usability

    Defective

Defective! Instructions show fastening wood top from short ends - but there are no metal inserts in the top to receive flat screws. Product imagery shows a metal support under wooden top - this is neither shown in the instructions nor included in the box… but there are metal inserts on underside of the wood top to allow it to fasten to the mystery metal trim. Unfortunate - would have been perfect solution for small entryway. Was inconvenient to return to store (avail to order online only).

    (no review title)

Item was flimsier than expected for the price. It also arrived with the plastic feet broken from the metal legs (even though it was packed well). The coat hooks also have a place for a set screw, but didn’t come with any and come off pretty easy.

    A great piece of garbage

Assembly was not possible since one of the frames didn't line up with the pre-drilled holes and none of the bolts were the right size for one of the sections

Not bad for the price and good for tiny spaces

Just as expected and great for our tiny entryway in our tiny apartment. Super easy to put together. Took maybe 30 min. A little wobbly without the wall anchor, and some blemishing to the corner of the bench which was definitely caused during manufacturing. But I can’t complain about it because this was the only entryway organizer I could find for under $100.

    Great Deal

Love the look and definitely serves it purpose. I would suggest anchoring it to the wall if you plan to hang a ton of out door coats on the hooks or else it will sag

Poor quality and little integrity bench

the product is cheap material and once out together it wobbles and HAS TO be anchored to the wall or it will fall. It was too expensive. I would not recommend this item, one of the wood slats for the top came snapped and I only noticed as I was finishing the piece.

    DISAPPOINTED!!

Very cheap looking, the item in picture looks beautiful but when you receive it, it looks very cheap. The frames were also scratched up. Very disappointed! I returned the item.

    Perfect Porch Organizer

I've been looking for a way to keep our towels and other outdoor gear organized this summer and this fits the bill perfectly. So far on our covered porch it's handled several storms without any damage.

    Perfect for entryway

This is perfect for an entryway. We hang book bags, hats, keys and purses on it. The little tray above the shoes has our sunglasses and wallets. Now we don’t search for our stuff to get out of the door in the morning.

It fits perfectly in my space and holds up very well with our busy life. Just wish it came with the screw for the hooks and it would have been perfect.

    Beautiful but not as studry

It is not as sturdy as it looks how we, if you anchor it to the fall the top section will not feel as flimsy. Also, the 6 hooks did not come with nails so they will be loose and come off the piece of wood without being screwed into place. I love the way it looks and it does match my entry way section perfectly. Great for small places!

Looks good but arrived a little broken

I do really like this for our entryway, it fit my space wonderfully and does exactly what I want it to! However, it came out of the box with one of the wooden corners already broken and it’s sold out now so I can’t figure out how to get that piece fixed and that was disappointing! Overall, it looks good and I just turned the wood so that corner was in the back, but it’s def a bummer that it was broken before it arrived.
