About the Author



Edward Underwood and his wife, Lisa Jones, began designing and hand-printing their own line of cards in their London studio. These days they illustrate and adorn greeting cards and home wares from an old post mill on the edge of the South Downs in England. Edward Underwood is the illustrator of 100 First Words and the Baby's First Cloth Book series, which includes Farm, Park, Christmas, and Zoo.

My favorite 100 first words book!

It’s a rainbow flag…you don’t have to refer to it as a pride flag. I loved this book as we live in the city so it showed my son actual city living (steps, pools, museums, newspapers, etc) instead of just the usual farm animals and vehicles. We also want our child to respect other people so there’s that. I was shocked when it had a 1 star review, but of course that was the reason!
