Q: Can it be used as a bench too

  • A: It's too high for seating, and I doubt that after a season or two outside the lid would be flexible enough to withstand weight. It would probably crack.

    We initially loved the deck box except the quality was terrible and it did not last. We have had it for 5.5 months (set up for only 4.5 months) and the plastic is completely bent near the hinges so it does not close properly.

    Easy to put together. Looks as pictured. Larger than I thought, but I didn’t measure. That said I was disappointed it didn’t fit the seat cushions of my outdoor furniture so I will have to just purchase covers. But, good news it is fairly large. I will store throw pillows there. Likely. Good product for the money I feel. The hinges on cover for instance elevate it.

    Love the look. Like it enough that I'll be buying a second(actually third). Which I must buy due to the fact that my cushions stuffed in there were an inch to high, and when I tried to force shut it, I popped screws. Luckily they went right back in and it still closes on an unstuffed load. I do feel that critters could find there way in, but for me, this is on my deck and hope that will deter them. We use to have one on the ground and frogs found their way in, which I actually didn't mind. Figured they're better then bugs and that one is used for hard plastic kid toys. Our old one never fadded and still looks great which is why I bought this one. Just not sure I'd put my cushions in it on the ground.
