A: It is an "antique black," which looks sort of like a brown charcoal to me. It looks nice but does not work for what I want.

So far I’m super happy with this for the price (got on sale). There are some slight imperfections in the metal, but I think the whole vibe behind McGee is to have things with history not brand spanking new. It was easy to hang (41 yr old mom/ realtor) just make sure you have all the tools, get a level line- into a stud or use the anchors- and patience. Did this by myself.

Difficult to hang
So disappointed in this mirror, first off it is more yellow than brass and second the mounting holes were not even, making it difficult to hang straight. There is no protection between the back of the mirror and the mounting hardware so the screw can scratch back the mirror permanently damaging it.
