We really enjoyed this game. I like the quick gameplay and variety of topics. My kids like the sound the timer makes. I appreciate that it has suggestions on how to change the difficulty of adults and kids to keep it fun for everyone.

I love the original 5 Second Rule so I knew this would be so much fun to play with my children. The questions are easy enough for children to answer but still challenging enough to make them really think about their answers. The timer squeezes when you turn it and has little metal balls that spin down to count down the timer. The game comes with a lot of questions so this can be played quite a few times.

Pulled this game out recently to play with my family of 4. Son is below the age requirement so we had him provide fewer responses. Daughter and son really enjoyed the challenge.
Hilarious

Our family had a blast laughing at our inability to answer quick enough or not repeat each other's answers. Was definitely more difficult for the youngest player, but once she got the hang of it she loved it.

My kids love playing this! It's a great way to practice quick thinking, and also to help kids work through the frustration of not naming three things in time.
Fast-paced and exciting

We tried this out with a 6-year-old, 8-year-old, and 10-year-old. The cards were fun, age-appropriate categories, and the twisty-ball timer was an extra fun thing instead of your standard timer. The kids enjoyed it.
Fun family game, lots of laughter and thrill!

We love the simplicity of this game and the thrill that comes with it. The object of the game is to simply name 3 things under a given category. Sounds simple but doing this under time pressure (in 5 seconds) is not as simple as it seems. At one point, or more usual than not is more like it, you are bound to say whatever comes to mind just to beat the time. My boys and I have come up with very "creative," silly and funny answers! So fun and entertaining! We had a lot of laughs with this one! This is a great game for the whole family to enjoy - something the younger kids can enjoy too.

This is a great game for kids to play. The words were simple enough for my early reader to figure out so they could play independently. It is definitely a great game for younger children
Easy to pick up and start playing

This game was easy to play and overall pretty fun. It was enjoyable to hear the kids come up with creative answers to the questions. My only qualm is that it is far easier for the adults playing(even while giving the kids the two answer option) and this bothered the kids.

We have a game night every Friday night and are always looking for new games to put in to the rotation. 5 Second Rule Jr has been the perfect fit for us. It's really easy to understand and it isn't too challenging for my son. I would definitely recommend this game! *I received a free 5 Second Rule Jr game in exchange for my review*.

Both kids and adults had a fun time with these games, and does seem to exercise the brain for quicker response rate. Some of the questions might be difficult for the younger kids (or those who haven't been exposed to much screen time). When we first started, we changed the game to 10 seconds instead of 5 as 5 seconds goes by faster than you think! The kids LOVE the sound effects of the timer.
This game is such a great family

This was a great family game for my 6 year old, 8 year old, my husband, and I. My 3 year old even played a little too, we just modified the questions for him (which was super easy to do). We love how this can be a quick family game if we don't have a ton of time, or we can spend an hour playing it and having a great time!
Fun for all! But maybe too hard for young kids

5 Second Rule Jr. is a good game. However, many of the questions seemed complex for younger kids. Although the regular 5 Second Rule is geared at a different age-group, I think it may be easier for little ones and has better-written questions.

This is a fun game! We laughed & enjoyed the questions. Good for ages 6 & up. We all played ages varied from 3- 54 . I love teaching Atticus as we play. He seemed to love it also. Great game for all family members! It really makes you think in the amount allowed. It also will surprise you how under pressure you forget. Lol Game contents ~ 400 questions-200 cards, 6 pawns, 5-second timer, game board, & rules
So much fun!

Such a fun game for everyone, not just kids! Most of these are simple categories, but trying to come up with 3 answers in just 5 seconds is a lot harder than it sounds. Really a good learning tool for quick thinking!
