Sturdy enough to handle a full load of books. I found it easy to assemble alone, although directions recommend 2 people.

Took about three-four days to even ship it, then received it damaged. The wood by the top cross was split.

Overall, it does the job. It’s a pretty piece but the wood and hardware are cheap. Do not tighten screws too much on the cross sections on the back or the wood will split! The top piece of wood, the screw won’t tighten at all. We’re going to ask for replacement parts. When you connect the legs of the unit, keep them in order by number because the item numbers are on the inside and once assembled, you can’t see those stickers. If you’re sensitive to odors, it does have a strong paint smell that will take a few days to air out.

Perfect size, easy to assemble and love the color!

I love the color and sturdiness of this bookcase! It was pretty easy to assemble, and was just the right size for our living room.

Nice, solid piece of furniture for the price. Not sure why some reviewers say their pieces cracked. Thought it was common sense to not screw in so hard, that it literally breaks in half. Go easy and that won’t happen. We had no issues. Instructions were clear and we had all pieces. Yes, you get what you pay for but for the price, I felt it was very fair and worth it. Would buy again. Holds quite a few photos and knick knacks. We may end up buying a basket to put on the bottom shelf to hold things. Now, if we can only keep our cats off of it.

The shelf if not even made of particle board; it seems as if it is literally thick plastic. I have bought many things from Target and this by far is the worst item I've purchased from them. Of course their furniture it's a little cheaper than a furniture store, so you get what you pay for; however, these shelves are a waste of money and they do not look attractive in my living room - they look much better online.

This is a great bookshelf to fill any small space and look great! The tiered look meant I can put larger, out-of-sight items on the bottom and concentrate books, trinkets, and candles on the higher shelves. The assembly says it's a two person job, and I have to agree. I tried to build it alone, and made it through the first few steps before I needed to call for help. The process of putting the shelves on is awkward, so my advice is to put everything in loosely first, then go through and tighten it while having someone else support it's weight. At the end, I tossed out the wood glue it came with, and used my own much stronger version to secure the dowel caps and corners. Now, it doesn't so much as wiggle! I wrapped string lights around the shelves and placed a few cute cacti, and now it's a lovely part of my bedroom. Great product, especially given the price I paid.

I bought this to go with some antiqued/distressed pieces that were off-white and this matched nicely. Be ready to assemble A LOT of pieces. It's not difficult but took me about an hour. I was pleased with the final result. It's by no means heavy duty, and it's not holding anything of substance, but it's a nice shelf to hold pictures or lightweight items. But it truly does look exactly like the online picture. I'm very pleased with the overall purchase and price.

The shelf itself is beautiful but I would not recommend based on the fact that the connecting rods are too short. In order to get the screws into them they need to be inserted at an angle

Nice shelf, effective size

It was easy to put together, all parts were there and instructions were easy to follow. Seems sturdy and am confident of the items I have put on it. I bought 2 and look nice on either side of the TV. It nicked easily and there are exposed small spots thruout the piece. For the money it is well worth it.
