Q: Do these tray tables have a bracket to lock them in place once they are open?

  • A: No, this item does not have a bracket. The metal rod underneath the tray will prevent the legs from collapsing. When open the tray to use, the leg has to glide all the way until reach the wood block at the end of metal rod. If tray is lifted after it was fully opened, we recommend to reach underneath the tray (on the longer sides of tray) and hold the cross bars in place so legs won’t shifted when place down to the new spot.

Q: Anyone that has purchased this particular set... are these a light cheaper wood or the nicer heavyweight type?

  • A: The legs to this unit are hardwood giving this table support needed. The table top is MDF and has a great wood look to it.

    Excuse the mess

    These are so beautiful and worth every penny. They made me think of my Mema... she would love something so practical and elegant. I bought these so my friend and I could watch a movie and much out in the living room. She is coming tomorrow and I am so glad these are here and nice!!!! Thank you!!!!

    Damaged

    This set came damaged. One table has a piece of wood broken off the leg and it cannot stand up. Another has buckling on the top making it look warped. I did not even bother to look at the last two or put together the stand so I do not know the quality of those. The set I received looks black not espresso, not a bad color but not espresso. Target will give a refund, however returning these is going to be close to impossible. These were delivered in a box which is very heavy and impossible for me to return my myself. If the damage was just cosmetic I might keep them but they are useless as is. So be aware of the difficulty of returning if they arrive damaged.

    Perfect!

    These TV trays are the perfect height and wide enough to fit a plate, remote, and drink on. I use one of them as an end table and it looks and functions great! They are also sturdy and held my book bag, full of books, on it and left no scratches. Assembly was VERY easy took my 10 minutes, at most.
