Q: How far out does the piece extend from the wall when the rack is folded all the way out? Is there a way to have it go out less far?
submitted by K - 3 months ago
A: The open dimensions extend the depth to 18". This particular drying rack is not adjustable, but the accordion drying rack options we offer are adjustable.

The concept behind this drying rack is great. Unfortunately, due to current home renovations, I do not have a place to mount the drying rack. What I can say is it seems to be fairly well made. While assembling, the paint does chip slightly. It makes me nervous that I will be hanging wet items on it but only time will tell if this drying rack will hold up. I will update my review after a few months of using.

The Danya B. Folding Wall Mounted Drying Rack is perfect for drying clothes that need to be hung or air dryed. This was very easy to install and mount in my laundry room with my husbands help of course. We did manage to lose one of the strings for the opening that I am sure one of the cats got but it still hangs perfectly. I have expensive cleaning cloths and sweaters that I hung on it to dry with no problems. I love that this just folds up easily when it is not in use and still looks decorative. I am thrilled with this drying rack and I highly recommend it!

I really like the concept of this. We just remodeled our laundry room and I thought this would be a great addition for those items I can not throw into the dryer. While it does work great, it wasn’t all that easy to put together. The little black pegs broke when it was being put together, so my husband just used some pegs he had that fit. Other than that, it works great. My daughter even commented that it would work great to hang all her cheer bows on.

Great system. Perfect for small items but also great for lay flat items like sweaters. Out of the way fold up option when not in use. Perfect space saver for small laundry areas. Assembly was a 6/10 on difficulty scale

Overall ok drying rack. I didn’t realize the finishing would be quite like this. Assembly was easy - I would have liked the outer screws on top / bottom to be sunken into the MDF vs showing (see picture) and the branding is in a wonky spot. The straps (show when the rack is closed) I wonder if they will hold beach towels (what I hoped to use them for) and wear well given they aren’t metal.

Well, I didn’t realize that this needed to be assembled so that and the unclear assembly instructions knock a star off… there were no words to explain the steps and I tried to follow the pictures while keeping a one year old entertained and helping 4 others with school work so I got a little confused. I ended up putting the back panel on backwards and upside down..: oops. I could’ve taken it apart and fixed it but in past experience these types of assemblies don’t hold up well when taken apart so I opted to put a couple of new holes in the back panel. The slats (dowels) are a tad bit bowed but I’m not really picky. The sides do seem to have decent fasteners so it will stay out when folded up. I’ll have my husband drill a few holes and put a couple extra screws in it when he hangs it as well because kids aren’t always gentle on things. It does seem pretty sturdy and pretty heavy… another reason for adding some more screws. It took about 20 minutes to assemble with a Phillips head screwdriver. I haven’t hung it up yet as we need to do some painting in the laundry room. I had seen other posts about hanging an old ladder or slatted crib side from the ceiling but hubby wasn’t too thrilled with either idea so I’m sure this will work out just fine.
