Abacus Pixicade Electronic Game

Pixicade turns kids' drawings into real, playable video games. Kids draw a level on paper with the 5 color-coded washable markers, snap a photo in the Pixicade app and watch their sketch come to life in minutes, with no coding required. Each marker color tells the game what to do: green is the avatar, blue marks the goals, red adds hazards, purple creates movable objects and black builds walls and platforms. Kids can choose from 7 game types, from platformers and mazes to brick breakers, slingshot challenges, golf courses and 2-player paddle and volley battles. The 100+ page activity book walks them through real game design concepts like avatars, goals, obstacles and multiplayer play, with plenty of examples to spark new ideas. Finished games can be customized, shared with friends and family, or played alongside games made by other young designers in the Pixicade arcade. It's screen time where kids create instead of just consume. Recommended for ages 10 and up on their own, or ages 6 and up with help. Requires a smartphone or tablet with a rear-facing camera (not included). The app is free to download for iOS and Android, with additional features available as optional in-app purchases.
