AmeriBag 15" Leather Crossbody Sling Healthy Back Bag (Bing)

This is my fourth Ameribag in the last 25 years and the first one to disappoint me. While the outer dimension remains the same as my previous bags, the inner zippered space makes the dimensions so tight that I literally have to take everything out in order to get to my wallet. Howcould you ruin the perfect purse this way?

This 15" leather Ameribag is as phenomenal as all the 15" and 19" Ameribags I've carried daily for the past 28 years! Fantastic design, as always, and they've recently added an additional inner zippered side pocket the length of the bag. This added inner zippered side pocket is a great addition, though it does result in some of the other inner non-zippered pockets being a slight bit smaller than before. Not a huge problem, as the added inner zippered side pocket allows for plenty of room for reorganization. Great quality leather, as always, and great, strong zippers throughout. I'm extremely pleased with my new 15" Ameribag, and have been a longtime fan of this bag!

The quality of the leather, paired with the Healthy Back trademark purse organization, makes the purse head and shoulders above all others. I have about a dozen of these purses in different colors and sizes because they are nothing but quality inside and out.

I like the bag so much (I have scoliosis)that I finally decided to try it in leather. The leather is not as flexible as the fabric, so I know there will be a break-in period. But this will be easier to clean, and longer lasting, than the fabric.

I haven't used it yet, but it is beautiful. It's a bit larger than I expected but that's ok. If you ever make wallets, let me know.

Easy to carry everything you may need even though considered œextra small! A lot of interior and exterior pockets, as well as a good sized interior cavity, in good quality leather.

I love these bags. Started buying years ago through LLBean. Found you after they quit carrying them. Still have two with Bean logo and four more from you. They last forever and lots of compliments. I would like to replace my saddle colored one but I don't see it. Love love love

First off I don't like the magnetic magnets in the pockets for the closer - there's two separate zipper pockets inside one with foam padding for protection like your tablet or phone and has a key clip with a d-ring in the very top of the bag along with total interior inside pockets of 8 & the main compartment when you open the bag with the zippers so in total nine 9 interior inside pockets with the outside pockets a total of 5 five on the outside the leather is very soft and has an adjustable strap and the strap has a light foam padding ; the brown color is amazing called Expresso the size is bigger than I thought for the size extra small ; overall I got it for a replacement that I remembered receiving from my dad at a Goodwill thrift store that he originally found this bag at

Just the right size for everyday use and it's leather!!!

I love the bag, except that the color they sent me was not as pictured. It is a very dark brown, not the reddish brown which I prefer.

The quality and workmanship are excellent, I think. I bought the XS size, and my only negative feedback involves smartphone space. There is really no convenient place to put your smartphone in the XS size bag. In the past, I owned the small size - and the smartphone easily fit in a pocket on the outside of the bag. All of the exterior pockets in the XS size are too small for a smartphone. And the smartphone is very difficult to remove from the inside pockets of an XS bag. I hope that Ameribag improves their design for the XS bag -smartphone access from an exterior pocket is really a requirement these days for many of us.

I bought this bag to replace a similar one from LL Bean that went missing. I like the conformation and the weight of it. It's a bit stiff as of yet, but the leather will probably soften up over time. The only negative is the inside pocket on the spine; it's a bit too narrow for my phone (which is a small model).

It is the best purse I have owned. This is my second one. It is the perfect size for what I carry. My previous one has lost some color from the leather and I don't know how to restore it. I will probably donate it to a local charity thrift store. Thank you for a superior product. Karen Boivin

This is my wife's third Healthy Back Bag which says a lot! It is very well made and designed to last for years. We did, however, return it as it was a bit small for all her stuff. We will be re-ordering the same one in 17" in the very near future.

I have carried Healthy Back bags for years. The pocket on the back spine was perfect for my cell phone. It is now too small on this new one. You may have saved a half inch in leather but you lost a future customer.

I had bought a small a short while ago. I didn´t even open the packaging because it looked about the same size as the medium I had used for many years. Many , very hard use years and still looking good. The medium was too big for my life now though . So, that small seemed like it, too, would be too much. I ordered the extra small and sent the small back. The extra small is smaller on the inside than it is on the outside ( opposite Tardis reference). It doesn´t hold much because it is divided in half lengthwise inside and is really padded a lot.The interior spaces are too small to reach into or hold much of anything but the very basics. The outside pocket where I usually keep my phone won´t hold a cell phone. Maybe it will be just right for you, though. In general, I love Ameribag. I switched from Coach back to Ameribag partly because it is easy to carry , doesn´t hurt the back and shoulders. Also because they are very well made and different areas were thoughtfully placed. Just be sure that you choose the right size and I think you´ll have a great bag for many years. I´m pretty sure that Ameribag isn´t going to want to refund me again, and it cost over 20$ to send the small back, so I guess I´ll figure something out. Some way to make it work. Goldilocks
