Q: Why does the usb C port on this external hub not charge devices or read wireless bluetooth connections? I also tried putting in a ubcA to usbC adapter and plugging something in and it did not read
A: Sorry, I couldn't find specific information regarding the limitations of the USB-C port on the Anker 5-in-1 Hub with HDMI Docking Station. It is possible that the USB-C port on this hub is specifically designed for data transfer or specific functionalities and does not support power delivery for charging or capabilities like Bluetooth receiver connections. For further clarity, please ensure you're using compatible devices for the hub, and check the product manual or specifications to confirm its intended use. If issues persist, reviewing the product’s technical details might provide more insight.
submitted bySoundcore Team - 10 days agoBrand expertA: The USB-C port on your "Anker 5 in 1 Hub with HDMI Docking Station" does not function as a typical USB-C port for charging devices or reading connections, as it is designed with specific purposes in mind: USB-C Port Functionality: The USB-C data port supports data transfer only (not video output or charging). Therefore, it will not charge devices or support display output. When using adapters or other cables (like USB-A to USB-C), they can block signals or impede proper functionality. If Devices Are Not Being Recognized: Make sure your USB driver (on Windows laptops) or operating system (on MacBooks) is updated to the latest version. Test the USB-C port functionality by using different devices or laptops. Ensure your hub's LED light is on when connected to your laptop. If it isn't, the hub may not be functioning properly. Additional Troubleshooting Steps (if applicable): Disconnect the hub and all connected devices for at least 5 minutes. Reboot your laptop and reconnect the hub to see if the issue is resolved. If none of these steps resolve the issue, then it's likely functioning as designed—for data transfer only—and not a defect of the hub.

Q: Does this work with the iPad Air (M3)?
A: Based on the available information, the Anker 5-in-1 Hub with HDMI Docking Station is likely compatible with the iPad Air (M3), as it mentions compatibility with iPad devices generally. However, to ensure full functionality, the iPad Air (M3) must support features such as Power Delivery, DisplayPort Alt Mode, or USB-C 3.1 standards, which are prerequisites for many of Anker's hubs and docks. If the iPad Air (M3) supports these requirements, the hub will work effectively for tasks like file transfers, charging, and connecting external displays.
submitted byAnker Team - 23 days agoBrand expertA: The Anker 5 in 1 Hub with HDMI Docking Station is compatible with USB-C port iPad models running iPadOS 14 or later. Since the iPad Air (M3) has a USB-C port and supports iPadOS, this hub should work with your device. However, keep in mind that it is not compatible with iPads featuring Lightning ports. Additionally, ensure you use it without any third-party cases or tempered glass screen protectors that might impact functionality if combined with certain keyboards (like the Apple Magic Keyboard or Smart Keyboard).

Q: Does this work any iPad OS?
A: Yes, the Anker 5-in-1 Hub with HDMI Docking Station is compatible with iPads running iPadOS 14 or later, as long as the iPad has a USB-C port (not compatible with iPads that have a Lightning port). If you are using accessories like keyboards or screen protectors, certain setups may affect compatibility. For example: Works without a case, keyboard, or tempered screen protector. If using an Apple Magic Keyboard, Smart Keyboard, or Smart Folio without a tempered glass screen protector, it works as expected when plugged correctly. In case a tempered glass screen protector is used without a case or keyboard, you need to plug it in backward. Please note that it is not compatible with Apple Magic Keyboard, Smart Keyboard, or Smart Folio if you are also using a tempered glass screen protector. Third-party cases are also not recommended.
