AirTag (2nd generation) now has its loudest speaker yet and an expanded Precision Finding range to make it easier than ever to find your items. Attach one to your keys, slip another in your bag. And track all your items in the Find My app.

Find My requires iOS 14, iPadOS, or macOS Catalina or later and that your device is signed in to iCloud with your Apple Account. Some features are not available in all countries or regions. Improved Precision Finding works with AirTag (2nd generation) paired with iPhone Air or iPhone 15 or later (excluding iPhone 16e); availability varies by region.

A: No. “The AirTag 2 does not work with the iPhone 12 mini. To use the AirTag 2, your iPhone must be running iOS 26 or later, which includes models like the iPhone 11, iPhone 12, iPhone 13, iPhone 14, iPhone 15, iPhone 16, and iPhone 17. The iPhone 12 mini does not support the ultra-wideband chip required for the AirTag 2, which is necessary for the extended Precision Finding range.”
