AirTag (2nd generation) now has its loudest speaker yet and an expanded Precision Finding range to make it easier than ever to find your items. Attach one to your keys, slip another in your bag. And track all your items in the Find My app.

Find My requires iOS 14, iPadOS, or macOS Catalina or later and that your device is signed in to iCloud with your Apple Account. Some features are not available in all countries or regions. Improved Precision Finding works with AirTag (2nd generation) paired with iPhone Air or iPhone 15 or later (excluding iPhone 16e); availability varies by region.
²Battery testing conducted by Apple in December 2025 using preproduction AirTag (2nd generation) units and software paired with iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone Air units running preproduction software. Battery life based on everyday average usage of playing sound and Precision Finding. Q: Will this 2nd generation tag work with an iPhone 12 mini?

  • A: No. “The AirTag 2 does not work with the iPhone 12 mini. To use the AirTag 2, your iPhone must be running iOS 26 or later, which includes models like the iPhone 11, iPhone 12, iPhone 13, iPhone 14, iPhone 15, iPhone 16, and iPhone 17. The iPhone 12 mini does not support the ultra-wideband chip required for the AirTag 2, which is necessary for the extended Precision Finding range.”

does not connect

Does not connect to my phone. I have tried many times, by reboot or following all of the other ways recommended to get it to connect to my phone. For reference I have an Iphone 15 pro.
