Fast charging does depend on the Ipad having the ability to use it as well as the wall plug you are using to make sure it outputs the correct watts for fast charging. A: “Apple warrants the included hardware product [Lightning to USB Cable, 2m] ...against defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of original retail purchase. Apple does not warrant against normal wear and tear, nor damage caused by accident or abuse.” Target DOES offer a 2-year Square Trade Electronics Protection Plan that “Includes: Normal Wear and Tear Coverage, mechanical defects.” I just bought both the cable and 2-year protection plan today in-store (2/18/2019). There is also an option to buy both online. Just keep your receipt.

It will break in 6 months. Constantly replacing.
Charges well but always breaks between six months and one year. This is the third one I’ve been through, and I’m always careful not to bend the cord. Switching to an offbrand because the namebrand just breaks anyway and it’s twice the price.
