No, this cable is not woven/braided. It is Apple's standard smooth white plastic/rubber-coated cable, similar to the traditional Apple charging cables.

Unruly cord
Possibly the worst cord Apple has ever sold. Obtained from another electronic big box store but warning everyone. Inflexible, stiff, twisty, snarled mess and they do not improve with time. I insisted on Apple cables for my new iphone and regret it. Terrible value for money. It is getting 2 stars only because it does it's job but with a lot of aggravation in cord management.
