A: Yes, they do smell fishy, which I doubt has anything to do with the plastic because they do have avocado oil, Hyaluronic acid & perhaps other ingredients to keep it moisturized- because once I brush the blade with soap, there's no more fish smell. I take an old toothbrush i no longer use, put some soap on it and gently brush the blade with the soapy toothbrush before each shave to ensure it's clean.

If the blade refills are sealed, they're safe to use and the smell will dissipate after opening, but we completely understand if you'd rather not use them.
