    Not Fragrance-Free

    I wanted to like this product because my dermatologist recommended I try it and gave me a sample. It made my face feel clean, but the smell of the fragrance is so strong, and I only use unscented, fragrance-free products on my face, so I'm worried about this making me break out more now. I had to immediately wash it off my face because it felt tingly afterwards and the smell lingered. I wish this came in a fragrance-free formula, as I will not be using it otherwise.

    New Formula Worse Performance

    I miss the old formula they had in the white bottles. This does not work for my acne. Leaves my face dry and doesn’t get rid of stubborn acne. Can’t believe they got rid of it, I really wanted this formula to work for my skin.

    Good body wash with major flaws

    Great bodywash with some considerations. Surfactants are pretty good. It contains isopropyl alcohol, which is drying overtime and will strip ones barrier, with Milk thistle which controls the oil product but will cause overdryness due to the combination of these two present together. Now, if one is allergic to ragweed, watch out for milk thistle that is in ragweed family, one can develop allergic reaction to this body wash. It should be listed clearly on Avene's website as a warning. I developed red dots/petechaie on my legs for one year, unable to figure it out. It caused major vascular fragility and barrier damage. It contains fragrance. Fragrance has no place in skincare and is an allergin. Better version of this was the discontinued Fragrance free face wash from Avene. I beg them to bring it back!

    Dissapointed

    I am so sad to give this review because my facialist highly recommended this and a few other of their products. Despite the claims of being “gentle”, this cleanser left my skin feeling tight, dry, and oddly irritated after just a few uses. I don’t typically have sensitive skin, so I was surprised by how uncomfortable my face felt afterward. It didn’t seem to do much for oil control either, I was just as shiny by midday, but now with a hint of flakiness. I had such high hopes for this brand, but I do not feel optimistic about trying them again.

    My favorite cleanser

    Highly recommend

    I love this cleanser. It removes make up as well and doesn’t burn your skin or your eyes. It’s gentle and effective at the same time. I preferred Trixera facial cleanser and I am sad that Avene discontinued this product. This is my 2nd favorite.

    Adult Acne- this is a rescue!

    I am 68 years old. I inherited oily skin from my mom. My chin was still breaking out, probably due to stress and hormone changes. This leaves my face clean, but not dry. A life safer.

    This is a great product for me!

    I’ve been using this for a couple of months before doing a review. I don’t have acne; rather rosacea which suddenly appeared on my face after my use of a well known soy based cleanser. This product works wonders on my sensitive skin. I don’t mind the fragrance but it takes very little to cleanse my face. I wet my hands first as well so that may make a difference. I do know my skin is clean but not stripped as I feared might happen. I’ve purchased a larger bottle and plan to continue using this great product. I do know one product doesn’t work for everyone so it sometimes takes trials and errors before you find the right one.

    Acne clearing

    Good Cleanser!!

    Great cleanser minus the isopropyl alcohol and fragrance. This cleanser cleared my back acne and rinse off well without residue.
