Q: Do you have to keep the closet and the bed attached? Or are the 2 pieces glued?

A: We do not recommend that the armoire be used standalone. It's possible to not attach it to the bunk bed, but if not attached to the bunk bed, you would have open holes on both the armoire and the bunk bed and the item is not safety tested for play/use in that configuration. Also, the armoire has fabric curtained back and front. It doesn't have a solid wood panel back like our standalone armoires. If you want a standalone armoire, you can shop for Badger Basket Model 01201 or 01210. Thank you again for your interest in Badger Basket products!

It's cute and everything lined up but unfortunately it came marked up and wood was split in spots already. Wood continued to split in other places. Also dowels weren't rounded so we had to pinch them to put them in aligning holes.

Bought two of these for our daughter who is obsessed with her dolls. A little confusing to put together could use better instructions. The YouTube video is awesome, they are nice and sturdy and very pleased with the item. I’ve noticed the bad reviews were over 7 years ago. Definitely different materials.

Item came broken. Screw holes were broken, so we could not put together. We tried to glue together, since this was a holiday present, and we wanted my daughter to have something, but it completely fell apart. Should have listened to other reviews and stayed away.

Have yet to see the finished product. Received by mail and there were broken pieces in the box. My husband was told we would receive replacement parts. Second package arrives with broken parts again, this time also the package box is broken. This will be 3rd time requesting new parts. My daughter is excited for this particular model so I will continue to be patient until we finally see this bed set up with all working pieces.

Wobbly bed
Bought this for my girls for Christmas. It was literally falling apart once it was assembled. The wood notches that are supposed to hold in the sides didn’t work and the whole thing was wobbly and just fell apart.

Very poorly assembled. It's cracked where the dowels are inserted and the pieces are falling apart from faulty glue. It's unfortunate I'm having to fix this 2 days befpre Christmas because I can't exchange it because it isn't sold in stores.

Assembly
We received without the screws to assemble and since my husband waited till middle of night on xmas eve to assemble he had to scavenge for parts but he found some and assembled and it seems sturdy. Daughter loved it the ladder fell complely apart within a week but i glued it back together over all good item for what i paid. My kids are gentle on toys so i expect it yo last quite some time. We actually chose this for the attached closet that was her favorite part.
